  1. Look at that good boy! Love that pup.
  2. Beautiful bows there. Thanks for sharing.
  3. That's some strong 7x! Did you get him on the reel quick? Fantastic fish for sure, a 10lb rainbow is my minimum for me to get a mount done, maybe one day.
  4. My typical views of Taney. Don't forget the 2AM raccoons... Us creatures of the night travel in groups.
  5. Beyond ridiculous, like some crazy statistical anomaly hahaha. You better remember the peanut M&Ms and first peanut goes in the water brother or you're doing it wrong. Hopefully next weekend we can get er done.
  6. Fishing out there in prime conditions can be tough, you guys are troopers for sure. Glad you were able to find some. It's not the size but the adventure they say. Def some good memories i hope were made. It's beautiful country for sure. Thanks for sharing.
  7. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Each smiley face represents someone else catching a 20in brown in your boat lol. We're gonna rip that monkey off your back this year kicking and screaming buddy.
  8. Haven't seen him for a bit, but water clarity hasn't been the greatest. Hope to wander over there at some point this week.
  9. Great news indeed! Take it easy and hope you get back to normal soon.
  10. Hope you're over the worst of it and getting back to normal.
  11. Not sure i was too much help but I def would like to try and get out and fish with you finally Dave. Maybe we can catch John on a trip back here.
  12. Appreciate that Phil and I'm truly grateful for your friendship and the many others that I now am blessed to call friends because of OAF. I try to live right by the man upstairs and put my faith in him everyday. I've got allot of great inspiration from you and from many members here over the years... Truly a blessing this community is even though we all might have our differences we always can agree on our passion for fishing to bring us back together.
  13. Hope you're feeling better Ryan, I try hard to avoid the politics talk, but a bunch of you who know me know my thoughts on the subject. I will say after working for Pfizer, Monsanto, Bayer, BJC, and now the financial sector of Mastercard I can tell you I have seen evil up close and personal, and it exists in the form of men and greed... Namely higher ups in the companies, then entire buildings full of lawyers and lobbyists that protect them, and the government which works hand in hand with them to push agendas. Some days I'm ashamed of it, that I sold a piece of my soul to provide for my family... Some days I get a win after the fruits of my previous labors finally take down a bad guy. https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/chinese-man-pleads-guilty-to-stealing-monsanto-trade-secret End of the day we all must make choices. I'm on job number 3 since leaving my previous career and trying to right my internal demons. Lost 2 new jobs directly due to covid... just about lost this last one too just for being who I am and sticking up for what I believe in. Stay safe out there friends.
  14. My goals are easy this year... Just go fish. I put down my clicker last year and although I'm still counting in my head I fished allot just to fish and it did me right. I fished at least 3 or 4 times a week on my lunch breaks when weather was nice, I'll likely continue to do that, but by end of year was bored picking on my pets... I have 2 streams left for bluebribbon challenge I might get to, but I'm going to try and scale things back and not be so mad at em... Going to chase brooks, Cutts, and tigers down on the white more. So want to figure out night time bite down there. I'm also gonna try to do some relaxing fishing. Maybe even take a night off and BBQ with some beers... maybe good luck to you all this year. Hope to run into a bunch of ya this year too.
  15. You guys did fantastic last year. The amount of time and effort and going along virtually was a great adventure for sure. Congrats to all of you. I could never do it myself lol. I like to think I fish pretty hard, but no way could I do what you all accomplished. What a fun way to end the year
  16. I'm checking my schedule, I'll see what we got going on. If anything I can likely swing the weekend with a day on the front or back. I'll hollar at ya when I know.
  17. Sorry not a truck although same family, but put 70k on our 2016 tahoe with 5.3 with zero issues. While researching its replacement i found tons of horror stories on the gm forums with the 2021s and a so called bad batch of lifters. I don't deny the issue but I think it's overblown with the sheer amount of 5.3s that are out there though. Have 5500 miles already on the new YukonXL which is supposedly past the build date on the lifter issue. Fingers crossed and knock on wood... I will say the 10spd is a huge improvement from the 8sp in our Tahoe, and despite being bigger gets better gas mileage.
  18. Nice catch buddy, very cool indeed, but did you name it and give it a belly rub, or was it straight into the fryer with it
  19. Any forum I've ever been a part of that was sold has died, or got so bad I left... they just never seem to survive the transition. I don't FB so I know I miss allot, but would much rather give my clicks here versus that awful company. Thanks for what you do and for bringing us all together.
  20. So very cool of you to do this buddy. My childhood best friend has MS and its terrible... glad you could help make and provide those memories for him happen. Some very Honorable and Noble work your doing there my friend.
  21. Forgot I had some of these pics too... Poor little lambs. I don't come down here to sleep, if the food wasn't so darn good, I'd prolly live off pbj sammiches stuffed in my waders so I could stay out chasing em longer. I did sleep a bit more this year though, somehow they all snuck off to bed on me on the last night and my wife made me promise her I wouldn't roll by myself in uncharted to me waters... I think I'll bring a few of the hardier ones back down here for some real grindy marathon fishing lol.
  22. Haha, Cody was a riot, I stuck this fish and immediate knew it was pretty solid. It finally flashed and came up a bit to where I knew it was a cutt or brown and we got a good glimpse of it. Cody, net in hand, blurts out "oh man I'm really gonna mess this up now that's a nice fish" He stuck it perfect, I guess I'll give him 40%credit, but only because his crawfish was so unbelievably good and he's got a hole in his boat lol
  23. Man another successful jig fest in the books. Home safe now, and what an amazing time we had. First of a huge thank you to Phil for his generosity and for giving us this site so we can all meet and get together like this. It's truly appreciated. We def missed you this year and hope you to see ya soon. The day fishing for me this year was pretty solid. I got to wade fish which was awesome, and outside of riding with Cody pre hole in the boat on Norfork I never boat fished for the rest of the weekend. We fished wildcat, Buffalo, and Bull Shoals twice with the low water. Caught at all of them but I was on a mission at BS. I wanted a Tiger or a Brook, but the rainbows and browns kept getting in the way. I also literally threw a 3/32 olive and ginger with an olive head 99%of the whole weekend. It was just a great producer. I threw an orange head sculpin but after breaking off I went back to old faithful. Man the fish were hitting the jigs hard too. I think I ended up with 60 or so to hand which was good enough to keep me going. After my 2nd cast Cutt at Norfork I was pretty ruined to catching stockers. Ok now the bad... We absolutely stunk it up night fishing and didn't catch a single fish at night. Was unreal. 6 of us headed out to Reds and then Norfork, then also wildcat. Threw the whole enchilada at them but its hard to stay motivated with only 2 hits... I guess the fish do sleep at night here versus Taney. I'm gonna keep doing it though until I succeed. A lot of it had to do with trash water too. Wildcat we got there right as the bull shoals burst water made it down and it was a sea of garbage. The food def stole the show. My goodness I love getting fatter surrounded by great people. Thank you to all the chefs, and even my sammich makers. Cody and Eric def put in some work for some phenomenal meals. Final thanks to all the gang. People are what makes this something I treasure and look forward too every year. Man we laughed and laughed and lied about fishin! We had I think 5 first timers too, and it was great to see and meet some new folks. I hope maybe one day we get to where we have to rent the whole resort out with OAF! Missing you guys already.
  24. Duane had plenty of jigs Phil, we all shared photo dump, report to come in a bit.
  25. Have some pics to upload from today, highlights were a 20in brown 17 or 18in brown, a golden, and a nice full finned colored up bow. Also there may or may not be video of a boat with a big hole in it... Daryk has some food pics which were amazing again tonight
