    The ER doctor even said the string trick would not have worked on him because of the angle of the hook and where it was at.

    Could not use the string trick on this one...my son buried a treble hook all the way to the shank and it was into a nerve, his hand was numb for a week, to him to ER.

    The new ultrex's that are coming out soon will have DI transducer's built in. I was going to but an ultrex but used that money to buy another bass boat...lol...so i guess now i need to change my name to 2 champ man.

    I got plenty of work to do, rebuilding my garage, rebuilding 3 transmissions( that i have to have done by Tuesday), i haven't even been out in my boat for 3 months so im not able to come up there wrench to help out. Not to mention the carbon fiber reeds and block stuffer i ordered for my outboard that i have to install.

    The biggest problem i have seen with cable steering is the cable guide tubes at the motor gumming up inside and making steering stiff because of the grease. I took a can of brake clean and gun cleaning brush to my tubes before installing new No feed back steering system, the reason i put new system in was because the teeth on the rack was wore out and sharp like razor blades.

    I just replaced my whole steering system 2 years ago with cable steering and the cables that i replaced where originals and the boat is a 1989 year model, so cables do last longer than 5-7 years. I have several friends that have 20 foot bassboats with 225's and 250 on them and they have cable steering.

    They had issues with the ducks in Washington and Arkansas some time ago....PDF's are under the roof if i remember right. Prayers for all involved..
