Yes it does I was there learning in the mid 50's and then started tying my own flies. I sold some dry flies commercially at the old store in the late 50's early 60's after I became friends with a clerk there. One of my brothers was there last Friday and again Sunday with his daughters. Great days of fishing.

Same here. Always enjoy your reports and videos. Brothers and I have a condo up the lake from you. We'll stop and introduce ourselves sometime. Been fishing Taney since the late 60's.

Won't be long until we have to tell them goodbye.

I had one slip into the back porch when I had the door cracked open while I was carrying feeders in and out to clean and refill them. She was beating herself against the windows when she couldn't find the open door back out. And she wasn't happy when I rescued her. As soon as she got outside she flew away. I had to put out reserve feeders to take care of the influx and now have 23 48 ounce feeders out. I had my wife stand next to me while I held up a feeder at arm's length and she got to experience three hummers feeding on it at less than 30 inches while others were buzzing by. A lot of work but I'll soon be missing them. A friend in Denver had all his disappear last week. Yes. And I'm going to miss them. I'm using 12 + pounds of sugar a week (well over 130 lbs so far this year) and have 16 48 ounce feeders up which they now empty in 6 days. A lot of work but well worth it. . -

Just from August 1 through this last Sunday I've gone through 60 pounds of sugar. I have 17 48 ounce feeders out and the last two weeks I have been making over 6 gallons of sugar water every 4-5 days. These pictures are from a corner feeder on the porch in back. It looks like WWI dogfights all the time. Usually they are gone by mid September but with the higher temps I guess they may stick around longer. And I'll buy more sugar. I can't figure out how to get my pictures to show up. They are on Flicker.

Considering how you have been treated, I would file a complaint regardless of when they may release the funds do you and your wife.

Go to the Missouri division of finance and file a complaint against the bank. I’ll bet they’ll get to the banks attention real quick.

Going back to 1955 when I was 7 and my folks built a cabin on LO I’ve seen the lake 17 feet low! Twice if I remember correctly. Pretty amazing what you can see when it’s that low.

Nothing compared to that Iowa giant. Caught one on a spinner bait on an inside point right after dark at LO in early April in the late 70’s. Buried a 50 lb scale so no accurate weight. Towed the boat for quite a ways and wouldn’t fit in the net. 18 pounder on a crappie jig and 6 lb test fishing for walleye below Lake Perry dam in KS.

Yes from this morning. Thanks.

Fly fishing and photography are my hobbies. I take a lot of pictures.. Can't get pics to post

I’m with Netboy. 1966 Don’t post much here but read it every day. Condo at River Point on Taneycomo.

Brings back memories. We used to catch them at LO like that. They’re a lot of fun to fish for when they go to spawn. They can jump like a sailfish.
-
I very seldom post. I always enjoy your pictures and report. We’ve got a place on Taneycomo at Short Creek and don’t have the dry fly action that you have. But we have plenty of surface action! Boats!

I don’t post much here but I always like your pics and reports. Thanks

Crazy Flood Stories.... Danna's and Car Lot
Hawkfarm replied to Phil Lilley's topic in Upper Lake Taneycomo
Phil. Did they, or will they, reduce the flow to assist in trying to find the 3rd person that drowned from the car swept into Fall Creek?
