  1. As if the fishing wasn't disappointing enough yesterday. I log in to this...
  2. Sorry for taking this thread off the rails...I probably took offense to something that wasn't intended to be offensive.
  3. Probably why my kids are valedictorians and all in gifted programs.
  4. We've eaten whites out of Grand for years.
  5. That explains why all of the whites that I pulled out of Grand this spring were so fat...
  6. I'd stay shallow. Especially in the mornings with it being cold. I hate throwing the ned or light line in the wind, so I'd probably be throwing a winding bait. Might even have a small plopper too. If they fire up on that spinnerbait, it doesn't get much better than that. Last year the first super cold morning I had one of my best days ever on Bull Shoals. We were getting ice in our guides and catching tons of shallow largemouths. We probably caught 25-30 keepers that day and all of them were on blades. I tried to make them eat top water for probably 30 minutes until I couldn't stand watching my buddy catch them every other cast. That being said, I'd have a square bill handy too.
  7. I use Google Chrome for most of the blogs I look at and have zero issues.
  8. I'd figure out some way to throw a spinnerbait too. Even if it's one of the smaller Mike McClellanf finesse ones by War Eagle.
  9. Those are the people that only play Top Flite Gamers.
  10. It's a quick release and it counts. The only fish that you should get "in" the boat are for pictures.
  11. FWIW, I could see that little robo ned worm being awesome on a drop shot when these fish are on the really small shad.
  12. When it comes to the Ned if it isn't elaztech, I don't need it.
  13. You had a much better day than we did. Broke the one walleye bite off, and boated a few short bass. 3 keeper largemouth that barely made 15 inches. We did see a couple of guys boat what looked like a big walleye almost as far upstream as beaver creek. Spent the day hitting some new to us spots upstream rather than downstream from K-dock. Probably the wrong decision.
  14. The spinnerblade will produce year round on these lakes. Play with different retrieves and trailers. I have huge confidence in any blade with the name War Eagle on them. I recently bought a couple of Bo's blades, but haven't employed them just yet.
  15. What size flicker shads are you trolling?
  16. Sprint, you're absolutely right. When it gets tough, tie on a confidence bait and just grind. There are always shallow fish on this lake. It may seem like there's only 1-2 on a bank, but they're there. I never used to believe in fishing with confidence, but it's amazing how you'll catch them on something that makes no sense but you feel confident on making them bite with that bait.
  17. We'll probably be in that K-Dock area wednesday too. In an older dark blue Ranger.
  18. For another $30 or so, you could get a BuCoo SR. I realize it's more, but I have a couple of them and couldn't be happier with them.
  19. I'd hire a guide to get away from the huge Toyota tournament that will likely be launching out of Long Creek.
  20. There's a big Toyota bonus buck event next weekend too. 10/15-10/17. I'll be at the pond to the east if anyone is looking for me!
  21. I was just going to say that I buy all of his stuff at Fin and Feather.
  22. Bill, are you using the Keitech brand jig head?
  23. I'd say that instead of running up there, just put in at Baxter instead. Save gas in the boat and it's only 5-10 minutes past mill creek to get to the ramp. The White has been pretty good from what I've heard.
  24. Was the parking lot out of the water at K Dock yet?
  25. Tell Vernon to leave his snakes at home.
