    Sometimes it's hard to tell how shallow a run is especially in winter time with low flat light and a little riffle on the water.

    I always wear a pfd and kill switch. But now I'm going to rig a step to help get back in the boat. Summer time is no big deal but with a bunch of winter clothes and boots on it might be a different story. So I just want to make sure. Seems like my buddies fish less and less so if I want to go I have to go alone.

    You cannot hear the horn at Handicap except in very specific conditions. I was scrambling across Rim Shoals when the water started coming up and I said to a guy "hey the water is coming up". He said "No it's not I didn't hear a horn" I told him you can't hear it at Rim but he didn't believe me. Gary had to go get him off the island a while later.
