  1. I read your link and it said 140 had the texture most associated with what people expect lobster to be. Actually I let the girls look at the link and decide. Makes my life easieršŸ˜„
  2. Have you ever gone straight nano to the jig for trout?
  3. Lobster tails are currently bathing in butter, lemon and a little tarragon at 140 degrees 😁
  4. I thought you were nearly incapacitated? You posted this the other day. Ok I only have used of my left arm from Elbow down. I can only raise my hand waist high. I can not reach out with my arm. I don’t have full use of my left Leg because of circulation. I don’t have full use of my right Leg because of Nerve Damage. I’m in pain because of Degenerative Bone Disease In upper, lower Spine and Hips. I have pain in my side because of a Fluid Pocket. Still have Cancer around my Prostate area. They say they can take care of this with Radiation. I have no control over my Bladder. I can’t go by myself because I tend to get lost. GPS helps. I can’t hear. I have Barrettes Esophagus. But I’m not dead and try. oneshot
  5. Plenty of room on the white, don't see a need for it. Maybe @mojorig has some info.
  6. Fresh ground makes a huge difference but I don't take the time to do it anymore. Fresh ground 8 O'clock is tough to beat.
  7. I’ll bite. The third digit is a 2 so it starts today. No???
  8. I should have added: My wife is fine now and my youngest is a junior in college and the other two are grown and gone with their own kids. My wife and I very happy, financially ok and we look forward to traveling more and retirement. So relative to 20 years ago life is great! Thanks for making me realize that, @Blazerman!
  9. Yeah I looked at the link you posted for @Mitch f THX!!
  10. I was caring for my wife going through chemo and surgeries and taking care of a 1 year old baby girl. Laid off from GM to boot. Did my best but I wasn't my best. I don't like those memories.
  11. We picked up some lobster tails from Costco to poach in the sous vide tomorrow.
  12. I'm sitting at work with nothing to do and I watched the whole thing. I was rooting for you, @duckydoty!!
  13. I'm headed down in April. But those days are behind me... Hope to have a good fishing report.
  14. Don't forget the sous vide
  15. I can tie the fg but I jut don’t think it’s worth it. It is beautiful when done though. Like a well palmered fly.
  16. Yep. hang a couple on the stringer and then don’t have enough for a meal or you don’t want to care for them and ā€œlet them goā€. I’ve seen that more than anything else. Freezer burn probably kills more but I wasn’t there when they threw them out.
  17. We. hook all of ours right in the snoot. We use braid with leader.
  18. I thought you had to get through differential equations???
  19. I was wondering about you since Bull got to power pool and they started running Beaver.
  20. Looks like what somebody just put up in Dardenne bottoms. Nobody was in it Saturday AM and the field was covered in geese.
  21. Ride or die. I treat it like an adventure or out exploring because I’ve ridden every trail around here Hundreds of times. At least in the summer you get to see some... Never mind. Plus one @Quillback. Same as golf. Thin to win!
  22. Beats sitting around the house to.
  23. My experience is the fg was no better than an alberto and longer time to tie. My experience.
  24. Do you use leader? If so what leader knot?
  25. I use leaders with braid and an alberto but I've given up on nanofil after two tries with it. The stuff casts like a dream and is crazy sensitive but knot trouble made me give up on it. @Ham has it dialed in but I suffered too many knot failures to continue. I use 832 suffix. It's almost as good as nano and I have very few knot failures. Loop knot to jigs and neds. Palomar on most everything else. Fly fishing...Whole other ball game. Davy knot for starters.
