  1. We were all around a couple 50-60 acre fields. It's hard to lay off a dove coming straight at you 6' off the ground. Most fun wing shooting ever.
  2. There wasn't a better spot on the planet for dove shooting than this one. It was a political "fund Raiser" for a senator. Brush hogged sunflower fields near the Missouri River. We used to pay $50 each for the day. Included, breakfast, booze, ladies to clean and grill birds and more doves in one spot than you could believe. No mater how many times they would tell guys not to shoot below eye level the excitement got the better of them. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
  3. I have a degree in biology with my lab certification in Biotechnology. Worked for Monsanto for about 3 weeks and quit to make more money some where else but go ahead and lay it on me. Just to bring @fishinwrench into this
  4. I don't know about you guys but I get so hungry when it gets cold. I could eat two steaks and still walk away hungry.
  5. Tell me you had seconds! I'd die of starvation on that serving size.
  6. I've been shot more than once by dove hunters
  7. Tapered leaders. Lucky dog from feather craft
  8. Fish em as straight down stream as you can.
  9. I’ll waive the 5 county rule. Go ahead and start spewing some “common sense” real world knowledge 😁
  10. I was wondering where you were😆
  11. I was even ascared to reply to this thread
  12. I go to Tablerock many times a year and the high water never bothered us. Except one year it flooded one of the pools but we just put lawn chairs out in the flooded grass. I still don't see how it affects the businesses around the lake. Well except when it flooded the resorts BELOW the dam.
  13. We supplied the vertical steel casing for the new Lake Mead tunnel shafts. That lake got so low they couldn't pull water from it because it got below the old shaft intake. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=lake+mead+tunnel+shafts&view=detail&mid=83CF938BD773604BA35E83CF938BD773604BA35E&FORM=VIRE
  14. I think I'll hit one of the parks this weekend.
  15. I think we've had more "big" flood events in the past 10 years than before that time. Did you read the article? I don't see how Tablerock's lake level makes anyone more or less money. It's not like they shut down businesses because the lake is high. Nothing to do but adjust I guess.
  16. They're technically pipe pile and yes they weigh a lot. 25,000 to 30,000 pounds each pole. Worse than wind is when they had ice build up on them. Dallas location collapsed due to icing. But it wasn't one we did. Wouldn't matter as we just supply the pipe to the specification of the engineer. The rest is on him.
  17. Yep it's not cheap but they pack em in. I've been to a few around the country and they are all packed like that. We didn't get the T shots location in KC. There's also Drive Shack and Big Shots coming online too. I think Drive Shack is Titleist. The guy in the next office sells the poles for them, I sell pipe pile for bridges and marine work. Some of those base poles are 5' diameter pipe telescoping up to 2' diameter at the top.
  18. In short, no. Phil posted this a while back to try and help understand the corp.
  19. I finally watched it. I’ve learned one big thing from MLF and that’s catching many fish off of one spot over and over. I’ve caught 30% more fish after watching these shows the past 3 years. Largemouth, trout or smallies. I don’t have electronics and I primarily fish in current. If I catch a fish I mark the spot and fish it over and over if I’m in that area while checking out other places similar to that.
  20. We manufacture the net poles.
  21. What is it about Melvern that draws you there?
  22. Might be a stupid recommendation but Lake of the Ozarks wouldn't be a bad choice. Produces a lot of big bass and you can fish instead of drive.
  23. I was thinking of coming down but my daughter will be home from school and her and my wife want to stay in town.
  24. $25 per to start. If he is D1.1 certified it will more and of course if he is D1.5 even more. Amazon is building a distribution center behind us and they steal our welders for $35 an hour but the job only lasts until the building is done. National Cart is also taking our welders. We train them and they steal them. Then they come back looking for their job again. Like I said STL is job seekers market. If you have project management experience or construction management experience there are a lot of jobs. Needless to say sales rep jobs are always out there. Any accounting experience is always available like Gavin said.
