Kinda crazy. I love catching trout but don’t really like to eat them. I’ve eaten hundreds. Best on trips with fam and friends at the location where you catch em!
I'll chime in with my 2 cents. The biggest mistake made when buying fly rods is getting a rod that is too slow. And for streamer fishing that's even more important. The problem I've seen over the years is the cheap to moderate priced fly rods are too slow.
Go fast, eat a$$
Yep. You need back stock if they're biting them that's for sure. I had a white bass swat a zara Saturday and I immediately went to black and silver Mepps. They bit it okay and I switched to white and silver and they just wouldn't let it alone. Can't beat em for whites. And spots apparently like them too.
That happens to my son and I all the time. To the point we talk about it on the way in the truck. One of us is cracking up laughing and the other one just can't figure what the heck is going on. When we notice it happening we let the guy in the slump have first shot at every likely target. But it still doesn't switch the mojo.
Boy but it sure does lead to some major ribbing.
I put a whackin on some whites and spots Saturday with a white one. Started with a black one and they hit it "ok". Switched to White and they hammered it.
