    I was given a Buba Blade and it's awesome. Although it's never filleted a fish. Because trout taste like crap. And I dont' keep smallies. It is wonderful to fillet chicken breast, thick pork chops and other land animal cuts for stuffing.

    I watch them on Youtube over in the UK on heavily pressured fish. But the carp hole I used to go to they would bite corn on a 16 scud hook, carolina rigged with a 3/16 bullet weight. I couldn't keep up with 3 kids and my wife reeling them in one after the other. Pay-to-fish lake called Suntan Beach. And oh in the summer. Those north county babes in bikinis, swimming in that Missouri River oxbow slime water!! Makes my loins tingle even today.😂

    I don’t think I’ve ever had good fishing if there were a lot of gar around. I always think if they are there it’s probably poor water quality. 🤷‍♂️. Just a guess.

    I had another thought on FFS and these recent studies. What if as @Sethsaid FFS isn’t doing as much damage as we think. But what it did do, was prompt these studies. And maybe the results just reflected what was going on prior to FFS but we didn’t know because they weren’t doing the studies. So there were declines due to multiple factors. Side scan, poaching and probably an overall increase in pressure. Which we know dramatically increased during Covid lockdowns. Just a thought. So in effect FFS at least prompted the studies which is great!
