  1. Do they make a umhw Jon? I only see it applied to aluminum hulls.
  2. I’ve wanted to do that with mine but just haven’t had the time and buddy to do it with. I put in and run up. Sometimes 15 or more miles. If I find them I work them over with spot lock😁. Or what I call “spot rock!”
  3. Ok bud light speaking here. 😁 1752 aluminum jet now and a 20’ fiberglass river Jon years ago. I have taken both on a lake. It’s horrible with both any chop at all. Not to mention any boat traffic. Fiberglass river jons are perfect for tail waters but after that they aren’t great for anything else.
  4. Aka: squeeze cheese😁
  5. Cornpone!! 😂
  6. I have two 50' extension cords. I have to empty my boat at night since the lockers don't lock. Still wouldn't leave much in it. Too many vandals...
  7. Thanks @Al Agnew I’ve followed your advice from your blog and it’s saved me some fruitless drives. One question. Would you follow the twice normal flow rule in the summer when the rivers are typically lower?
  8. That’s Just my opinion but I’m not a biologist.
  9. Smallie. They change color to match their environment.
  10. I gotta have those cap steaks😁
  11. Oh man!!! I still haven’t been back to Costco since kung flu hit. But this week I’ll put on a motorcycle helmet and get what daddy needs😁
  12. I think the bridge deck is a sort of steel grid so when cars drive on it the tires push the snow through it. You are literally driving on a bbq grill.
  13. We brought in German interlocks for the gilboa dam a few years ago. They came though the Great Lakes seaway. It’s a giant pipe pile wall dam. When I worked for GM we went to the sault in January. We had to wait for the bridge to open because of 60 mph wind. When allowed to cross we stopped at the peak and got out of the car. Frozen rock solid and brutal cold. The only place open up was the casino. Norwegian girls and offshore fishermen made the table games interesting. 😁
  14. Our purchaser and de facto metallurgist is from PA. He worked in the mill since he was a teenager. There’s just something about it I can’t explain.
  15. I think it took 3 months to heat up the furnaces. A steel mill is an impressive operation to experience.
  16. I know 160 people at our company that love trump. We got $6k each in profit sharing last year. We had not gotten one in 5 years. China dumping steel in our country with careless abandon. All government subsidized. It was criminal and the USA was closing steel mills like crazy. Trump slapped the tariffs on them and made sure our tax dollar projects were using domestic steel. US steel even fired up the granite city mill. Hard to fight a war without steel. I love our country being run by a business man. I honestly think he loves this country. You also can’t deny his work ethic. The dude is always working.
  17. How far and how often will you be towing?
  18. I have one of the plastic ones goes up to 30 inches. Works fine. The quarter lines aren’t highlighted but I didn’t care about that. https://www.austinkayak.com/Hawg-Trough-Fish-Measuring-Device/ACK8737P.html
  19. Exactly. 8 and 10 speeds are the norm. I brought how much I tow. If I were just going to tow it a few miles to a put in or only a couple times a year it wouldn’t matter.
  20. There was a question about shorts? Hmmm. Musta missed it. 9.
  21. It’s definitely going to be working a lot harder. 99 Yukon had I want to say 3:23 but not sure of the exact ratio with 5 liter and yes it towed a heavily weighted work trailer ok but always wanted a bigger truck. Currently ram with 5.7 liter 6 speed 3:93 and pulls my little jet boat like a champ. Plus it has a little pep when not towing. Theoretical weight of 2400 pounds for boat and trailer. You’re at twice the weight and I would go 3/4 ton and bigger motor with the new 8 and 10 speeds with a higher gear ratio. I tow a lot since I’m in a metro area and every trip is at least 120 miles round. Plus 8 hours round to Taney at Least 4 times a year. Last week 3 trips 8.5 hours towing.
  22. You might as well....River's are blown out.
