    To give you an idea of Hog Wally, he heard I got a jet boat and contacted another forum member to get my phone number and HE CALLED ME. He let me use his ramp so I could get used to launching without a crowd waiting and watching. Gave me the short tour of his section of river. What more could anyone do?

    Sous Vide salmon. My wife doesn't like it rare so I went the 120 prep. After searing in an iron skillet it was too done for me but she crushed it. Not sure I'm sold on this yet.

    I was a range rat for years solely to improve my game so I'm with you there. I've lost interest in the game and only played twice in 2 years and that was for work or I wouldn't have played those. 5 years ago I would card 120 rounds per year. Slow play slowly wore me down. Really the last straw was boom boxes on golf carts. I played a work deal and the customer's girl friend blasted auto tune music the whole time. I could have beat that radio to death with a 9 iron by the end of the day. So I took my ball home and quit.

    I hear the same thing all the time. Food is good. Their business model really works. People complain about how long a round of golf is and here you can stop in for a couple hours and get your fix.

    You should have gone backcountry fishing. Bones tarpon and if you really wanted one....snook. They would have picked you up by boat at your resort and you would be fishing in a hour.

    I used to hit it a few years ago. I caught fish from the bank in the parking lot by the hot water channel. I just looked at a map and it looks like they changed some accesses up there from when I was there. Maybe somebody will chime in with better info.

    I used to catch my mom's koi with dry flies in her pond on the patio. Until she caught me and smacked me upside the head. They fought pretty well I guess for a 8 x 10 pond.
