  1. Got a new one ordered, good eye
  2. After a lot of work, this gal is ready for water…after I get a motor.
  3. Thank you all. I’m happy I found this place. If ya’ll see me on the lake or river or parking it, please say hello
  4. That cracked me up! I can’t imagine getting this boat out on much more than some of the smaller lakes and rivers around me. That said, Pappaw always said he wouldn’t be afraid to drive that boat to Hawaii. While I don’t doubt he would have tried, I do question whether he could have gotten across the Pacific…
  5. Thanks for the tips! Looking forward to learning this area a little better!
  6. Went to Mari-Osa on Wednesday as it is closer to where I live. Nothing. Tried a few different offerings, but no bites, probably too hot. However, that boat launch looked nice for when I finish the boat…
  7. Going to try again tomorrow night, here’s hoping…
  8. He’s a player for sure. Need some relief and a little more consistency from some other players. A fun team to watch. Me, I’m still hoping for another I-70 World Series.
  9. Went below the dam and banked fished that evening. Just a chance for me and a cousin to get some fishing in for the first time in about 4 years. This is the first time I’ve fished that area in about 20+ years. Got some catfish bait, night crawlers and some cut shad that was given to us. Started slow, but I eventually caught 2 channel catfish back to back on the night crawlers. It slowed way down after the current changed. Caught a single drum after that. Cousin got into something really big that snapped his 17 lb test line. not the best fishing but we had fun, which was the point. Looking forward to trying again next Wednesday with some minnows added to see what we get.
  10. I’ll reach out to you for sure when the time comes but don’t feel like you need to wait on me. I want to get the body, floors seats and wiring all done before I move to a motor. If you can sell it before I’m ready, then please do. We are very familiar with that part of Table Rock, wife grew up near Shell Knob. Not sure we’d go out on those busier lakes except in winter and spring to avoid crowds
  11. I do not. I'll be looking for something around a 20hp though when I get it done. That'll be the last purchase I'll make for it.
  12. Thank you all for the welcome. Here's the 1965 RichLine, work on it is going slow as I'm mostly getting after it every other weekend or so. If you fished Lake Stockton, Beaver or some of the other areas in the Ozarks from 1970 through 1999, this boat was blue and the guy in overalls driving it was my Pappaw. The wife, kids and I were able to get the trailer updated with new lights, wires, paint, jack and spare tire rack. Got the transom out last weekend, will get it back on in July as well as get the outside sealed and repainted.
  13. Thank you! Many times I'd come back on leave over the years and can say that I was happy. Mostly went for trout, crappie, or white bass with the occasional walleye or catfish for good measure. I'm now reading up on small mouths as our home is nearer to rivers like the Meremac and Piney.
  14. New to this forum, not to the Ozarks. Grew up fishing the Little Sac, Little Niangua, James River, Taneycomo, Table Rock and Bull Shoals. My career took me from the Ozarks for just over 21 years. Now, as I'm close at retiring, I'm hoping to get some inside information for fishing. I plan on spending a lot of time on the water after retirement in my Grandpa's old boat that I'm restoring. Looking forward to the conversations.
