  1. Try sending your kid out of State for College for starters......Colorado charges me over 500 for a elk tag, resident less than 40.....
  2. Count me out on the photos in on the fishing! I could not even crop out Bob for Rick!
  3. JoeD, a few folks, who have never fished with Ham, seem to take exception to the numbers of fish caught sometimes. Having fished with Ham numerous times, I will say that if the numbers are wrong he errors in less than caught. He clicks a counter, when he releases a fish, if he misses one, he does not back up. Some folks question ("haters"} the 100 plus fish days. Having witnessed and done several myself, think providing video proof quiets them. I assure you Ham Loves to fish, but think he tires of the "doubters" who often call him out. I will have his back. Straight Shooter. g
  4. Was watching fine would not let me exit so stopped with task manager. Like Bill it crashed my computer. Currently restarted in safe mode running scan.
  5. The IBSRB (International Brotherhood of Spinning Rod Builders) Thank you! Ham and I can not buy them all! g
  6. One Shot Never stayed just know they are close to Forsyth: http://www.edgewaterbeach.net/# Twin Lakes Motel (417) 546-3481 I know there are some more at Ozark Beach, if I am that way will write them down. You turn southwest (Right going east bound on 160) at the 4 way stop in Forsyth, the road leads to Ozark Beach and the Dam, eventually back to Shadow Rock park via the old bridge. There should also be some condo rentals by owner (VBRO) in Rockaway Beach which would be close. Let me know when you are coming, will try to hook you up with some suckers. g
  7. No need to off set, one of these on each side of boat?
  8. Man oneshot Not sure there is one? About all the Mom & Pop's have converted to Branson worker lodging.... let me ask Peg? g
  9. I use the nano also, with a 6' plus or minus leader, that varies 4-6 # mono or fluro depending on what I am doing, attached with a alberto knot. The leader provides less line visibility, and saves on my high $$ nano, when leader gets under 4 ft. or so I replace so instead of wasting nano each time i retie i waste leader. When the nano is worn i swap ends, (pull off reel like DT fly line)use the end off the reel (only put 50 yds on reel to begin with)(yes I am frugal) Bottom line, if a fish looks at it too hard I can feel it... much better than fluro or mono. Not had twist problems on spin rigs. My second choice is 8-1 power pro braid, Nano cast slightly better IMO. Both better than mono. Fluro can give a spin rig fits. with the leader can drop with fluro or do on top with mono. g
  10. Hope you do not have a patten on that rod tray in the old boat. Think i am adding one to mine.
  11. Cardens in Republic will sell small pieces. g
  12. Phil sells a really nice rod in that price range at Lilly's Landing. g
  13. We see so much negative glad to see someone had a Ah-Ha moment and made a positive impact: http://campaign.r20.constantcontact.com/render?ca=c6f77066-5482-4076-953c-77594366eb8c&c=77f1abb0-3566-11e3-9a1d-782bcb740129&ch=79cf4550-3566-11e3-9a6f-782bcb740129 g
  14. Thank Goodness Dave told Ham to try the Ned. EVERY keeper I caught was on the Ned. Did not keep up with numbers as well has Ham, but was pleased with the catching under the conditions. Had 5 species, enough reds that I lost count, 1 Sheep head, a couple flounder, a black drum and 2 speckled trout, and Excellent fishing partners and company.
  15. Had to run the a/c Sunday night it was just terrible. Those people are so rude mowing their yards while we were catching fish.
  16. Dad gum Rick, remember no specific spots, Buffalo City has not fish. You need to practice.
  17. As Ham said, look at reports, you will do fine. For myself the jig works on Taney with flow, the White always has some flow maybe only 750 CFS but Rock sometimes only 20. Lower flow lighter jig, heaver flow bigger jig. I like the zig jig and the Jigs Phil sells at Lilley's. But many will work.
  18. Like Rick, it is only 20 min for me. If it is nice weather I will fish instead. but likely this time of year end up there part of one day.
  19. prefer a 6'6" but when someone is in the front of my canoe it pokes them in the back, so in practice use 6 most of the time on river
  20. Swell Time Phil We enjoyed it very much.
  21. I have done fly tying demos in the past for them. It is a very good show in my opinion. Take some $$$ last year I bought $100 worth of turkey calls from a local maker, 2 rods, a bunch of tackle..... not many boats, but lots of new and used outdoor gear. They had some good seminars on crappie fishing, mushroom hunting, etc. Then as Chief mentions, I dropped down to the Grad School for a burger mmmmm! g
  22. Hope I am on the road by then hope but not looking good will get there ASAP though
