  1. Made the Champ really shine
  2. Great photos Thanks for sharing
  3. One other more humane option is to live trap them, they like watermelon. I have trapped many, there is a guy a mile or so down the road I do not care for, so I haul them down there for his enjoyment.........
  4. Even after it has been on a trotline for ???? How long? The pole and line record is 21 lb 1 oz, for the overall state record.... https://mdc.mo.gov/fishing/trophies-certificates/state-record-fish
  5. Guess depends on your tolerance for tickets and risk. There is a season on ground hogs and a permit is needed. https://mdc.mo.gov/hunting-trapping/seasons/species?species_topic_filter=All&page=2
  6. Going to take Friday and Saturday off to mow, may break out the spider rig stuff, I am no good at pulling cranks. The white bass appear to be back, they are a mess on the spider rigs. Seems the lake is dropping about 6" a day. We will be at Dam Site #36 until Thursday 19th then off to the river a few days.
  7. Fished Pomme past three days, best day 10 fish, not getting back into where I assume they are spawning, as the brush is so thick. What I have caught have been suspended in about 30 fow 15-25 foot deep, near, not on brush piles. Seeing schools of fish, just following shad, catch two, then it is over. And the occasional school of white bass. Fishing down in the Dam area. Not sure what to try this evening or tomorrow, only have another week to figure it out, then off to the River...
  8. Late start cool damp ,fish in 1-12 fow on to 20 ft from bank scattered fished 9 til 1 just as rain started a 9 1/2 made the bag sure I culled bigger same roadrunner head 2” red or black chartreuse triple ripple grub, steady rain here now glad to get to 15 Ladybear smart stayed at camper air 48 water 59 degrees
  9. Sorry late reports, we were doing well on the bank about 8-12” under cork then the storm Friday messed it up, muddy. Sunday we fished below the dam to avoid mud, usual dinks and white bass. Monday, 5/2 we launched at Windsor crossing fished ramp area with storms looming. No fish on bank, all very tight to brush, 10-12 fow pulled off at 11 with 8. Tuesday was cold damp late start fish were scattered suspended off points and sub points in spawning coves about 7’ down in 14 fow. We threw black/chartreuse red/chartreuse triple ripple grubs on 1/16 roadrunner type heads counted down 6-8 and slow retrieve. Pulled off water at 1800 with 28. Heading back out 9 or so today with plans to run up looking for clearer water, at least for Truman.
  10. I use white power pro 8-1 with an Alberto connect mono 6# like @Ham like the weak link. But am thinking of trying the Dawia and yozori after reading this thread.
  11. Dang, my active captain shows updates for all 5 of my garmins guess I will sit on them a while.....will call tech today see if I can use SD card or just wait.
  12. Do not have them on my ole Champion but all 3 of the tin boats are equipped, I have a safety rope to keep it from sliding off trailer when I undo strap, after stern is in the water, then I just power up to release the rope, Some of our local ramps require adjustments.
  13. Thanks
  14. Hey @Dutch how did Flat Creek look, when you drove over? Thinking of looking for some whites up around dry creek?
  15. Choose torsion for my jet, mostly because it gives me about 6 inches more ground clearance. Noticed the difference in Ennis, MT with drift boat trailers parked side by side. I have been known to launch often at places other than ramps, so get clearance over stumps, rocks, logs etc. The guys down at TI nicknamed me "stump jumper" as my champion trailer made more than one visit for repairs.
  16. I will link the ring to you.....here by the fire with adult beverage....
  17. Now you can attend virtual https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/worlds-fishing-fair-live-stream?cm_soc=email%26type%3Dpromo|blue|WFFdaytwo|033122&obem=bylS4u_uquicm_7kdtz5-3MkJYAmUNMl4ZppfpJdQnA%3D&bc_lcid=t5084852341948416lw6201198463139840li0#
  18. Thanks, need to find someone to pick one up for me.
  19. If I may ask what was the price of the HMG I am needing a pair of them???? Thanks
  20. You will be fine, I have not done that since I quit drinking......so much.
  21. Wish they would have let my friend know that...his wife died he just got off vent... stroke lost left side...
  22. Solitary creature except for mating season.....except for other litter mates
  23. UPDATE: Was informed that BPS will be Closed tomorrow, Tuesday 3/29/22 for training and finish set up. The Outlet store is already closed today......Had to park on the east side of Campbell, at 8 am, walk around the outside of the store twice, hop on one foot 23 times to find that out. There is a fence around the entire Johnny world complex, the south entrance is closed. They won't see me again for a spell
  24. Let me add, that the poor quality of the pedestals were not due to the poor workmanship of the Chinese children, their welding was ok, it was the materials they were given to work with...... Flock of chicks couldn't cheep that much. I am not a Johnny basher, they do make a decent mesh ball cap and fudge.
  25. Picked order up, got out of there, it was a mess. Got home, seat bases and pedestals were such poor quality they are going back. Either early in the morning or wait until dog and pony show is over. got on the internet ordered products that I know will work, spent less money. I really try to support our local brick and mortar
