  1. Dang it, I was trying to stay out of this activity, Yesterday you stick "Who's gonna fill their Shoes" in my head all day, now this. How much other crap do I have to buy to go with this thing? How far will it shoot? I have a couple decent scopes around.
  2. SIO3 would you please call me the next time you decide to come down white bass fishing, please? I figure that will be a good day to work in the garden, you have bad white bass mojo man, bad. LOL.

    What's Cooking?

Found this today and for some reason thought of @snagged in outlet 3
  4. Water is the best I have seen in many years, great fishing color to a bit clear (like grabbing clear) flow is lower than I would suspect, but beautiful. Fish are still in deep holes, if you catch 1 you will catch 4 in the same area. No SM but several spots, LM and goggle eye but not bunches. It was a bit cool, but a mans gotta do what a man's gotta do
  5. The level below Greer is excellent, there must have been a cave cave-in or sink collapse in the last rain event as Greer is spewing colored water, river is clear above Greer, but very colored below.
  6. Well John, with my impaired hearing, especially in the wind, I thought Ham was communicating with @Stein so I was very confused(no news there). When I said something about building another boat we got lined out. My ankle was very unhappy with the weather. I told Momma Griz I was likely hurting too much to go, she said "will your ankle hurt any less if you sit here on the couch and watch basketball all day?" So away we went, always enjoy fishing, especially with good friends. Would do it again, but likely more clothes. I would launch my big rig there, but guess that's how I earned my nick name of stump jumper at the TI Trailer company. @Dewayne French where did you all launch?
  7. Think Ham was just happy I had a spare rabbit fur hat in the car. The wind was brutal all day but the cold in the afternoon hurt, think it was 55 at launch 38 at pull out. I tried jigs, rooster tails, small swim baits, the only whites were on small swim baits. Wish I had put my carharts or waders on. Guess I am a slow learner, loaded headed to the river after lunch. Another day fishing better than working.
  8. I understand some folks like the "gallery" type setting, I prefer "Thumbnail" Ebay and Craigslist give you the option. I am too old to waste my time digging around I have other things I would prefer to learn. If we get the option to choose I will return if I can do thumbnail. See you all.
  9. Yes, it is nearly impossible to find things I would like it changed back.
  10. My main page has went to some goofy layout with lots of boxes rather than the listing I have had in the past, how do I change it back? Thanks

  12. Well, was informed last night that there is a family St. Patrick's gathering Saturday afternoon, which is great I will come late....except I was also informed that I am furnishing and frying the fish for said gathering. Does not look like I will make the tourney. Sorry.
  13. Hopefully they both make the NCAA.
  14. Usually fewer reports mean many busy fishing. I checked a few of my spots on Beaver and Swan, no luck, seen lots of suckers in Swan, lots of folks fishing mouth of swan, pothole area, lots of boats leaving Beaver Creek boat dock. Maybe someone else got er done

  19. Appears to be part of the Spring River watershed:
  20. Tyson ordered to pay $2 million for fish kill Harrison Keegan Springfield News-Leader USA TODAY NETWORK Tyson Poultry Inc. was ordered to pay $2.5 million for violating the Clean Water Act with discharges at its slaughter and processing facility in Monett that led to a major fish kill. According to a news release from the U.S. Department of Justice, Tyson was sentenced to pay a $2 million criminal fine, serve two years of probation and pay $500,000 to directly remedy the harm caused by its discharges. In May 2014, the release says, the tank used to store the liquid food supplement called Alimet sprang a leak at Tyson’s Aurora feed mill. Tyson had the spilled substance transported to its Monett plant, where it was discharged into the sewers and flowed to the city’s municipal waste treatment plant, according to the release. The Alimet killed bacteria used to reduce ammonia, and the increase in ammonia led to the death of more than 100,000 fish in Clear Creek, the release says. As part of a federal plea agreement, the release says, Tyson Poultry agreed to improve its training and implement improved policies and procedures. Tyson released the following statement about the case: “As we noted last fall, we have resolved federal concerns about a 2014 environmental incident at Monett by taking responsibility for two misdemeanor violations of the Clean Water Act. We deeply regret the mistake that was made and have taken corrective action to make sure it doesn’t happen again. We’re committed to doing better all areas of our business, especially when it comes to protecting the environment. Since the incident, we’ve conducted lessons learned training for all environmental managers in our poultry operations. We’ve strengthened our environmental policies and procedures to help prevent similar

  22. A boat salesman friend tells me carpet will outlast the vinyl. When you drop the pliers that @fishinwrench mentions above spooking the fish, if they land point down it gouges a small hole in the vinyl, then your shoe catches that small hole it grows larger and larger......couple of my friends have opted for spray in bed liner. a cheaper route is @Stein trick of sprinkling sugar on a coat of wet paint then rinsing the sugar off, made a nice floor in his johnboat.
  23. Well, I did not realize you knew my wife's sister..... I apparently am a slow learner....been on both sides of a court room...many times... find it intriguing enough to avoid law school. nuff said
  24. you just do not look good in orange do you? Once?
  25. The old adage "I would rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6 " is sound advice.
