  1. Good motor. I am in the midst of diagnosing and curing a sudden movement issue. A service bulletin has come out. Other than that, top shelf. Note, fished with a guide late June. the Lowrance Ghost was impressive too.

Ho Hum. Pizza again. I try to vary each time we prepare one. This one is homemade sauce, ham, mushroom, olive, onion, and cheese.
  7. Comparable to spawns by other stocked fish. Walleye in Beaver, Tablerock, and the Bull "spawn." Normally conditions -> water flow and level, temp, and so on - render that spawn unsuccessful. However, some years, some spawns produce fry. BTW, that is a beautiful example of the species.

    What's Cooking?

Simple pasta with a wine clam sauce. Less than 15 minutes start to table.
  13. And left the tail on to make a fish chip?
  14. Wrench, there are times when many admire and respect your expertise about outboard motors. This admiration and respect does not necessarily carry over to vaccination and disease. I am sorry, but that is about the nicest I can call BS on your posts.
  15. Get well Bo. The rest of you, take care of you and yours. Listen to Bill!
  16. You mean I could have gotten rich selling walleye fillets?
  17. A paddle tail on a 1/4 to 3/8 jig, worked the same way, also works. As an alternative, throw the same but allow the paddle tail to sink on free spool. Then retrieve it the same way, but with pauses every 5 to 10 seconds to allow it to sink to the bottom again. Fish, including bass, walleye, and catfish sit under feeders and clean up the leftovers.
  18. It is just filler, but the Kast King is cheap and will last forever. Meanwhile, the Yozuri Hybrid and the Maxima are both less expensive than fluorocarbon and I have found them durable and reliable.

  21. These reels will hold enormous yardages of 4# test line. I suggest you buy 100+ yards of Kast King braid in 10# test. Use a Crazy Alberto knot to connect to 4# Yozuri Hybrid and fill the reel. The long stretch of Yozuri gives you a cushion if you have a malfunction, and the line cast characteristics works for you. My second choice for the fish end of the line would be Maxima 5#. Just my 2 cents.
  22. God, I love this message board.

    Truth
  24. If I did not make my own, I would be all over these.
  25. I have fished Yozuri for years. I experiment from time to time - braid, straight fluorocarbon, and right now I am trying out Finatic fluorocarbon because their braid is the best I have found. However, I always come back to Yozuri. I am referring to the Hybrid.
