  2. You are paying for all the development not just the product. And it's rapidly changing technology. There are a lot more TVs sold and the tech has been there for awhile. The question is, is it worth it? That all depends on you. It would be a waste for me because that's not my style of fishing.
  3. Yeah thanks for breaking the boat. You know he will never get that fixed.
  4. I can’t think of anything tangible. Sure I have some of his guns but that wasn’t a huge part of our lives. I’ve got some fishing stuff but none of it sentimental really. I guess the best thing he left me is a monkey dodo-ton of good memories. If it came to fishing he found a way to make it happen. I grew up in south Oklahoma and most of our fishing was farm ponds. He loved to fish from a float tube. I think he started taking me in a float tube when I was 7 or 8. I was incapable of keeping up so he tied a long rope between us and just drug me behind him. Float tubes are already a workout and now he’s dragging me along. That only lasted part of a summer and then I was on my own. And if I got left behind then I was just left behind. We moved to Missouri half way through my junior year in high school. He bought a boat and then when I took a liking to tournaments he bought a nicer boat and paid for all my expenses. He took me fishing in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Alabama, Texas and Mexico. We spent a lot of time in Texas between Fork and Falcon. Plus he made sure that I caught a double digit bass and was right there when it happened. He was also the reason that I lost one that would make that one look like a baby. But it was a hilarious chain of events that was more hysterical than sad. My dad gave me a fishing life that many never have the chance to experience. Some of the best memories of my life happened in a boat with my dad. And he was just happy sitting in the back of the boat, eating crackers, drinking beer, and watching me fail and succeed.
  5. Maybe. But that's not for a cop decide much less become judge and executioner. He had many other way to hold the guy but he chose to teach him a lesson.
  6. I bet that was a battle on the princess pole. Flatheads are fun.
  7. This panther is a dog. 70 lbs of lab/pit muscle. I call her a panther because of the way she stalks you in the backyard and then pounces when you aren’t looking. You ever been hit at full speed by 70 lbs of pure muscle? She likes to jump, turn sideways in the air, and hit you about chest high. She’s a dork.
  8. There is a trout resort up above there that I think might be on the same creek or a connecting one??
  9. That's a nice fish Joe. Congrats on that one. What's your favorite stogie.
  10. I'm going to go educate myself. I got a bonus coming, maybe I'll invest some.
  11. So a couple of weeks ago my wife came home and was so proud of herself. She had bought some tomato and pepper plants from some patient of hers. Did you guys know that I have a garden? You know why you didn't know? It's because I don't/didn't have a garden. So even though I have little hope for her new thing I set her up a raised bed. Bought enough dirt to fill that f'er up and planted her plants. Of course the black panther that lives in the back yard thinks it's an awesome place to lay. I wish my only pests were armadillos and squirrels. Charli Suzi keeps them at bay but does plenty damage on her own.
  12. Yep. I've been hearing a lot of success stories. I also saw something about a guy that committed suicide after seeing his account go into the negative for 700K. How does that even happen? I'm not a stock market intellect. I'm stock market ignorant. I mean I know how it works basically but have never done anything there outside of company stock when I worked for O'Reilly.
  13. That's a good day. Water still up in the trees?
  14. I think Gavin answered too but my life is fine. I have a great life. I just don't like politicians telling me one thing and then a much different thing happening. You know, just like how you don't like MDC doing things that don't directly benefit you. But the lies about Trump being the next messiah have to stop. He's just another douchey politician that will tell you whatever you need to hear to get reelected. I'm glad you guys are buying into it. Too bad your rivals have a shitty candidate too. This election will be a circus and I just think as Americans we should demand better. But if you don't wanna that's cool too because I really don't care. I'm not expecting any of them to make my life any better than what it already is. The only person that can truly make their life better is yourself. And I've been lucky enough to do pretty good for myself. That does not mean that I want to give it away to politicians.
  15. Just because you are okay with it doesn't mean others are. I'm glad it worked out for you but it hasn't for everyone. And I'm not just beating up on Trump here. He did say my taxes would go down but they went the other way. Just like Obama said my insurance wouldn't change but it did. None of them ever do anything to make life any better.
  16. Guess I didn't see the mass exodus, or even start of one.
  17. Nobody has ever done anything to stop that. Or even slow it. Find somebody to do that and we will probably make them king forever.
  18. It does but they are usually friendly and harmless. Definitely aren't hurting the fishing. Plus that section of river gets watched by conservation and LEO more than any other section. I've been pulled over for a license check on that section 3 times. And the conservation officer has always had a LEO with him. And from the banter on the radio there are some hiding in the woods. I did speak to a guy one day that had been ticketed for short fish and they took his pipe. Funny thing is he wasn't upset about it at all. Said they were just doing their job. Hootentown might seem sketchy, hell it might even be sketchy, but there are nice people running it and they don't put up with any bull.
  19. Ryan is more of a wading kayak guy from what I gather. If you want a drift boat smallie guide you need Jeff Trigg.
  20. Who the hell lets other people decide who they will marry? Thought this was land of the free and all that?
  21. Wrong. Either your taste buds are dead or haven't had it cooked by somebody that knows what they are doing.
  22. He done ruined you now. Good luck trying to enjoy catching them any other way. And yes, the smallest waters can surprise you.
  23. Yep it’s nice to see some people are willing to embrace change and admit when they could do something better.
  24. American with an opinion? Nothing at all wrong with that. Anybody that labels themselves any differently is a f'ing moron in my opinion.
  25. Guys from Ozarks Smallmouth Alliance were able to convince them to change it to a catch, photo, release tournament. I never did hear any results from it.
