Not true. This was a fishing destination long before any lakes were built. If you really care about protecting fish, then you don’t fish for them at all. If you’re worried about protecting the fish for your type of fishing then you will do just about anything, except change the way that you do it. -
Appreciate the info guys. The Orvis were definitely on the radar. I got impatient and ordered some Korkers. Was looking to have something by the weekend since my Simms decided to self destruct. Getting hard to find any fly shops that actually carry what I’m looking for. I understand they can’t carry everything but most carry very little of anything or they have gone out of business.

Are there any good ones? Specifically right now I'm looking for wading boots. I have to be in KC a bit over the next few weeks and was hoping there was somplace with some variety.

I've made that run many times, including those Champion tournaments. Caught some good fish up there.

Gulf of Mexico. Last week while waiting on the queen to get ready. Geez I sepnd a lot of time doing that.

I have no recollection of a first fish. I was taken on camping trips as a baby. My dad started pulling me around farm ponds in a float tube when I was 6 or 7. I know when I turned 8 he would unhook me from my leash at times and let me figure it out on my own.

That’s cool. I was watching a guy just a couple of hours ago paddle one down the beach. It’s tempting to get one but I’m not sure. Is the cooler seat working well?

Well that’s cool. I would think that people would be flocking there to catch the monster smallmouth but looks like they like the little guys too.

I have nothing for the critters but I'm sure if you play them some of this music they will kill themselves. -
While I agree with you 100%, I just took advantage of a perfect opportunity. I was already at her level sitting in a recliner next to where she was. And it's easy to get her not to look, just ask to take her picture. She hates it! LOL. You just have to recognize those moments and capitalize on them.
