    just make sure you have nav lights at night because other boats can't see you.I almost ran over an unlit yak one moonless night,scared the heck out of me.

    I have an old Evinrude 56 lb thrust 12/24 trolling motor I routinely run it for 6-9 hours per day.recently bought group 27 and a group 31 battery for my other boats.You definitely need bigger batteries for those more powerful trolling motors.The problem is the high cost of the batteries.Most people don't want to pay north of $215 for a single battery but they don't mind buying a $700 dollars phone,go figure!

    I just bought a boat in October without asking my wife of 38 years.I still work full time at 66 years of age.I can afford it,so I bought it.Looks good with my other 3 boats.She has smoked for over 40 years.It has taken a toll on her health.Heart problems etc.I like to think I have not sent my money up in smoke.By the way she likes the boat.Go get one and enjoy it,you won't live forever.

    I would bet money that the fish on the stringer is not anywhere close to 30 lbs.Look at the size of the head and the hand holding the stringer.

    These game farms are going to be the death of deer hunting in Mo.CWD will continue to spread while a few people will reap huge rewards at the expense of all present ant future Mo. deer hunters.If no one came to hunt on these operations there would be no need for any of this.

    I tried telling my wife I needed a driftboat for river fishing,she said you don't fish rivers.My point exactly.I just bought it instead.She was surprised to say the least.Wouldn't be so bad if that wasn't the fourth boat I own.Let your wife buy whatever she wants.By the way my wife wanted to go to Florida to visit her cousin after my new boat got delivered,guess who ended up buying her the ticket.It was' not her,I think I got the better deal

    Al,Thanks for your thoughtful reply.I never expected such a concise and detailed answer.You my friend is someone I would love to share a day floating a famous Montana river with.you should work with the Montana tourism dept.I have explored fishing the Bighorn out of Ft.Smith and the Missouri out of Craig.Looking at going in mid Sept.I might stay in Montana for two to three weeks.I will look up some info on those other rivers..will you be in Montana in sept? thanhs a bunch for such a great reply.
