Hideaway again.... toward Jackson Hollow...
Bill Babler replied to Steve McBasser's topic in Table Rock Lake
If you haven't made one bleed you have never fished. Thank goodness he is around enough to make that happen. Great job and good point on fish care by Champ. -
As you know, I've fussed a bit about the Minn Kota's but those people have been great to me. Not saying anything about in or out of warranty, but I was taken care of. If your slightly over the contract limit and its not your fault I would without a doubt call them. Really good people.

I believe he swallered it. -
Have a Baltimore Blond for me. Happy B-day

Dixie Jet or a 2.8 Keitech. They like the spoon the best.

I'm with ya. One day last week there were fish in every shad ball I tried. 2 days later could not catch a cold in a snow storm. Pulled back in a major creek and huge balls were everywhere. 2 days later same weather pattern same surface temps nothing had changed. No shad and worse yet, no fish. Simply unbelievable

That is a hard 8 hours. Tks.

Yep, ill eat apiece of humble pie. I however don't believe its all Jimmies and Joes. I think coaching plays a roll. Bill Snyder and Gary Pinkel proved that time after time. No doubt Georgia has the best players in the country. I'm still picking Nick over Kirby until I see something different. Nice call wily.

Horrible coaching by the pigs. You never, never defer in this type of game EVER. Just like you never defer against Brady or Belichek. Your immediately behind and the least little mistake or quick 3 and out and the game is over as you are 2 scores down and are not coming back. Hoped maybe Pitman was smarter. We all know Odom is a complete Idiot.

Smart said Danials was fine this morning. Might be coach speak. Really doesn’t matter all he does is hand off or throw it 5 yards. He has 5 TD passes and 2 INT’s so they don’t ask him to do much. Entire game for the Hogs is stop the run and don’t turn the ball over.

Auburn has a total murder row the rest of the way. A&M is averaging 10 points a game in its two P5 games. We'll know about Florida after the Kentucky game in Lexington. I'm guessing its the same old culprits that win both divisions.

Alabama is not Alabama this year but like James I'm pretty sure Kirby will face plant against Nick. There is not a team in the country that has came together yet and everyone has a player or two out. If tomorrows game was at Razorback Stadium I think it would be under a 10 point line. Line moved up yesterday from -18 to -18.5. Over under at 46. I think that's really close. I'm thinking 28 to 18 dawgs for some reason. Georgia gets ahead early by 2 scores it will be worse cause Smart won't take his foot off the gas. He might because of Pittman but who knows. If I'm the Hogs under no circumstances do I win the toss and defer. I know you want your D out there if your the hogs, but if GaGa scores to start the game at home and then you make a mistake on your first possession the game is totally over. Arkansas is still a completely unknown but are playing at an extremely high level.

Been rough the last 3 weeks, and from what I heard about yesterday I gave my clients a disclaimer today. Told them they had the choice of not going or just testing the water for a couple of hours. Reports from yesterday had guides coming in with woes of 3, 6 and 9 total fish. This fishery is really as strange as I have seen it in my near 30 years here. One day good, next several horrible. I have been really lucky to hit the good days. Savior for me has been the durn chartreuse mop fly or a 1/2 TJ Micro. Clients had a total blast today on the ginger micro. Could not get bit on much else, on warm 58 degree flat water, but they just hammered that little bug. Black, olive, copper head olive have been good but none of that today. Ginger or nothing. No fish rising what so ever in either the catch and keep or restricted zone. Crawlers were extremely marginal in the keep zone. In the deeper zone fish seem to be suspended. One if the guides said yesterday below Cooper Creek they were 8' to 10' off the bottom suspended. He could see them on his panoptics and adjusted to the depth and caught some. Most could care less. I know today they were also not on the bottom as much but suspended along the deep bank above Short Creek. No doubt why the micro worked so well. Good Luck and be extremely patient.

My installer had aluminum clips that fit under the buttons to keep them from engaging. Totally invisible and fits inside each button cap. I'm so lucky I had this guy. Again knock on wood.

They have been really short on that jig trailer all year. Lots of us guide types are wondering if they're young walleye. Seems to be thousands in the pond. Just spit balling.

I'm a Mizzou fan, but I don't think this will be even close to any kind of a roast. I think GaGa wins but they will know they had to beat a very good team to do it. I'm also guessing they will have their lowest point total of the year. You have a Barry Odom defence and an Kendal Briles offense and the most returning 4th. and 5th. year players in the country. Pigs are not rolling over for any body. 18 point spread in GaGa's favor and I think the Back's cover.

Crappie report around the dam/Indian Point area
Bill Babler replied to Kenny8906's topic in Table Rock Lake
Reports from the last 5 to7 days are the Gills have all but vanished, taking the walleye and bass with them. Used some crawlers and never had a single blue gill bite. Still worth a try. Saw some bass surfacing and gave up the live bait and started chasing shad schools. Might look back in either Big or Little Indian, Point 1 cove, Clevenger, Beardsley Branch or Powerline for these shad as they are starting to move into major creek arms and the deep larger arms. We caught bass and walleye and also 2 Gills yesterday under and in shad balls on a 1/2 oz. flutter spoon and also on top with a Surge Shad. We also had some swimming a 2.8 oz. Keitech thru the same suspended shad balls. Shad were hanging at 15' to 30' at depth as there is still a strong thermocline at that depth. We had 2 walleye in the shad balls that were 30' deep over 80' so they were not near the bottom. Watched everyone of them bite on the Live Scope. Way more follows and refusals than takes. Kind if humbling when you can watch them Poo-Poo. your junk. Got the scope really dialed in. My lady client called it video game fishing. Had one quality small jaw on a football jig 25'. Wish we could just skip September on go immediately to October 20th. and beyond on the Rock. Rumor has it 2 loads of trout were stocked yesterday from Roark Creek up to Cooper, and that might be a really fun deal. I'll know more when the trout guys call me later today. Good Luck. -
Crappie report around the dam/Indian Point area
Bill Babler replied to Kenny8906's topic in Table Rock Lake
Don't want to be glib but you have come to the wrong place. If you have Live Scope or Active Target it is possible you might find some in Brushy Creek suspended in some deep trees. Dam area and crappie are very seldom used in the same sentence on the Rock. Wish you the best of luck. -
Mine works perfect on either foot or hand held fob. 18 months with nary a glitch. I will now knock on wood. I will point out there has yet to be built a trolling motor that will compete with the Motor Guide Xi5 as far as GPS lock or fast quiet operation , in and out of that lock. Nothing even comes close.

Mike I got out super early. 6:15. Buster Loving beat me out. Said his client caught some walleye while it was still dark. I fished Spring Branch. Started with a plooper and got nothing. Went to a buzzer and then slowed it way down with a Spro frog. Nada. Switched to a Berkley Surge Shad fishing it thru tree tops, really slow. Had 4 Monster blowups and either I or the fish missed them all. One was a big LM, he missed it twice and came clear out both swing and miss. Ended up catching 4 jaws 2 keeps on a 3/8 pigsticker. Back on the trailer by 9.

Wow, great report. Nice pictures really appreciate it.

Very nice. From what I heard yesterday that dam area bite started early at 6:30 with the fish shallow, 12' to 15'. Flat water and sun by 8am moved them pretty quick to 20' to 30'. There is a very strong thermocline at 17'-18', to that 30' range with a ton of bait hanging in it. Boys said all the fish they caught were totally full of crayfish. Bass, catfish and Walters were chocked full and spitting them up. Most guys were using a 3/8 to 1/2 oz. GP/Orange with GP trailer of choice. Thanks for the pics and report. Been pretty slow on here.

TRL Outboard repair for 250hp pro xs 4s?
Bill Babler replied to seabass03's topic in Table Rock Lake
Ulrich does sell boats, but not many. Their main business is repair. I believe they have at least 4 techs and they are totally covered up. Every time I’m there they look like ducks feeding off the bottom with their head in a bilge and their butts in the air. Really busy place. If it’s something that takes 15 minutes and they don’t have to roll it into a bay they will look at it, but they just can’t roll one out and roll you in and tear it down. Good folks over there.
