  1. There's some truth in that, there are some very rich people who are notoriously cheap.
  2. He's got a few of these lying around. $40,030.80 - Mettler Toledo XPR56 Micro-Analytical Balance, 52 g x 0.001 mg (hogentogler.com)
  3. I might have to revisit it.
  4. Picked up a couple of packs of the Z-Man SMH worm, I like the looks, going to be giving it an on the water test before long. I can't catch them on the Swimz, I know you and Ham do, but I can't make it work. I just grind it out with the cut Zinker.
  5. When is on the water tower, it is official.
  6. Bravo!
  7. There's a great bluff to fish to the north east of point 5. the point there splits North Clifty/Big Clifty. I fish from the point south on the Big Clifty side. there's a bunch of underwater trees off that bluff. Usually some bass around those trees, fish a Ned, Jig, or Keitech and work them down the steep bank and through the trees - you'll get hung up some, but the bass are there. Stripers show up there, usually in May into June. Look for top water activity and toss a spook at them. It's a great place to fish, I don't fish it much as it's a long haul from Indian.
  8. Not too good for me today, caught 10, one nice spotted bass, 2-2.5 lbs. and the rest were in the 10-14" range. One on a Keitech, the rest on the Ned rig. Smallmouth were tight lipped today, water temp was 48, maybe the cool down put them off, well at least off my stuff. A few stripers were rolling around early in front of the ramp, I couldn't get any of them interested either.
  9. They are going to keep Beaver around 1120. They don't want it above that because it may have some impact on the dam. No worries they say. 10. Well it's not what have "we" learned here. You're on your own.
  11. Welp, this one is starting out as a disaster for me. I had Kupall in my lineup, but took him out, he is at #5. Seriously considered Robertson, he is #3, but not in my lineup. I like that we pre-pay for this, as at this point I have nothing to lose except pride and dignity.
  12. HUGE K's!
  13. I don't know if they sell the annual passes at the park entrances anymore. Last I checked you could call them to get one, Banson number is Phone: (501) 340-1950. I always got mine at the Rodgers COE office. I have now qualified for the lifetime pass, so don't have to make the annual trek to the office. Anyway, give them a call because they change things it seems every year.
  14. I get a translate to English pop up. It actually does translate it. If you want a read from the other side of the hill, there is plenty of it. I read a bit, got tired of it.
  15. Someone posted this on BBC. Never knew that a mussel could imitate a fish to get bass close enough so that the mussel could release it's larvae which attach to the gills of the bass. Did a range research of Lampsilis Cardium, northern Arkansas and the entire state of MO are inhabited by that mussel. Maybe ya'll knew about this, but first I'd heard of it. 16. I'd say visibility there is about the same, 4-5 feet. Quite a bit of pollen on the surface.
  17. I asked someone and they said it was stained around Viola. Not muddy, just stained.
  18. Dutch, believe it or not, I did not lose a Ned today either. Couple of Zinkers got torn up, but that was it.
  19. That's pretty neat, one of these days I am going to do a trout bum trip out west in the summer.
  20. Today was the proverbial quantity over quality day for me. I caught over 40 bass, but only 5 keepers and except for a 16" largemouth, they were just over the 15" mark and of the spotted variety. Bunch of bank running males. Water temp was 55 off the bank, probably a little warmer shallow. Quite a few of them were just off the edge of the buck brush. 1/16 oz Ned head with 1/2 Zinker got me my first two dozen, then the wind picked up and caught some on a 1/8 oz head and a few on a 2.8 Keitech. Didn't fish any bluffs or steep stuff. Bunch of rigs in the Big M lot when I left, might be the most I have seen parked there on a weekday. One of the ones that came to play.
  21. I guess what is making me wonder, is they say they are doing this for "hydropower unit outages". If they are running water to get it out of here, then why not just state that? It's not making me mad, I'm glad to see it.
  22. Wonder why they release so much water if turbines are down?
  23. That's some great fishing!
