  1. Weigh in here on the FB page. So far the leader has a bit over 14 lbs. No way I am hanging in there to watch the whole thing. (20+) Bass Pro Shops US Open Fishing | Facebook
  2. Been noticing that, shad in one place, bass in another. What I have been seeing is shad deep, say 45 feet with the bass in 30-35 feet. I can only speculate, but the shad seem to have found a safe zone where the bass don't go. Maybe it has to do with oxygen level, light penetration, water temp - I don't know. It has gotten to the point where if I see shad deep, I move a little shallower to fish, I can't get a bite fishing in those deep shad. I'm not the only one seeing that either, yesterday a buddy of mine got into a good deep bite away from the shad he was seeing.
  3. After screwing around with boots for years, I have gone the overshoe route. I like wearing a pair of sneakers while in the boat, easier to get around and I use the TM a lot. I put on a pair of heavy socks of course when it is cold, and being a wimp, I won't go if the temps are below freezing. I put these on to launch the boat and put it on the trailer, for me it is easier to get in the water, rather than balancing on the trailer beam. Lightweight, easy on/off. 4. There was a bunch of boats out there for this time of year. Usually with the start of firearms season for deer you might see 2 or 3 boats on a Monday, but I reckon because of the hunt for Johnny's money being this weekend and this being practice time, well they were out there in force. Speaking of deer season, I heard several shots through out the day. The fishing was decent at least as far as numbers, but mainly a spotted bass show for me which doesn't lead to any big fish. Caught some deep fish early, pretty good bite for a bit then it faded away, drop shot with a Zoom Finesse worm is still getting bites. Fish were in the 30-40 foot range on gravel. I also spent a fair amount of time throwing a jerk bait and Ned towards the bank, caught fish, they were scattered, one here and one there kind of thing, main lake and inside a cove or two. Caught my usual one short walleye on the jerker. Also tossed a Rock Crawler for a bit, no bites on it, didn't use the secret red color and paid the price. WT - 59.
  5. Thanks - I will record it and plan on watching it.
  6. I have to find a T-shirt that has "I 💓Bream" written on it, so that if I go fishing again with JF I can wear it just to aggravate him.
  7. Good stuff - I plan to get over there sometime this week.

  18. Maybe he is on to something, running it in demo mode attracts fish. 😎
  19. Well I drove over the bridge the other day on my way home from Table Rock, sure looked pretty with the fall colors and an empty campground.
  20. LOL, you are mean..
