  1. Very nice, that's some great fishing!
  2. I remember seeing your reports on those golf course fish, seems it was usually on April 1st. 😃
  3. Some great fish there!
  4. Last time out I caught 3 crappie on 3.3 Keitechs while bass fishing. 2 of them were on a point with wind on it and were in about 5 FOW. Not a spot I would expect to find crappie. Everybody says the Kings is where you want to be in the spring for crappie, so you were in the right place.
  5. Crappie and Walleye from Table Rock White bass and spotted bass from Beaver.
  6. That's a heckuva smallmouth!
  7. 19" smallmouth would make my day, congrats!
  8. Great day, looking forward to hearing how the shad run goes. You ever tried fried shad roe?
  9. Those little swimbaits will get bit by just about anything.
  10. Get on the BPT, my bet is the winner will catch a bunch of spots.
  11. Launched at dawn, well I think it was dawn, it was very foggy. Idled over to a nearby cove and caught 3 bass in rapid succession on the 3.3 Keitech, I thought I was going to really knock them dead, but those three fish turned out to be the biggest ones I would catch all morning, couple of keeper size smallies and a fat spot. Picked up another dozen or so during the remainder of the morning, mostly spots, a couple of smallmouth and all were in the 12-14" range and all on the keitech. Fish were on points, in anywhere from 5 to 15 FOW. Water is pretty clear in the dam basin area, somewhat stained up Indian Creek. Started off with 50 degree surface temp and when I left it had climbed to 54.
  12. Congrats on a great day - always fun when a striper grabs the little baits!

  14. I might go take a look, haven't been to one yet, but I have thought about getting a yak.
  15. June 1st, 2019, Lake Ann park, Bella Vista AR, 10AM - 3PM Ozark Mountain Trading Company is holding this event with over 50 kayak models to try. Open to the public.
  16. It was a really fun day, I enjoy fishing anytime I get to go, but some days are more fun than others. Sure helps to have some nice weather.
  17. As others have mentioned on here. the spotted bass are really biting, they aren't everywhere but when you find them, there's usually a few in that area. I was getting them on 3.3 Keitechs fished on a 1/4 oz head. Points and steep banks, 5 - 20 FOW. Caught some on the swing jig with a Menace Grub. Dragging them on the bottom. Caught 2 keeper smallmouth today and they both came on the grub. Got some bonus eating fish, stopped to fish one last gravel point before heading in and ran into some fish that were grouped up in a small area in about 5 feet of water. Got a keeper walleye followed by a couple of crappie. One of those weird things that happens sometimes when you are fishing, would never have guessed those fish were there, I was expecting a bass or two at best off that spot. WT 50-52. LOTS of boats out there today.
  18. Personally I recommend Aunt's Creek, or that dock in Beardsley with all the no trespassing signs and security cameras. Good luck to those of you fishing it!
  19. That's some great fishing! Would've have liked to been there today but a buddy of mine wanted to fish Spavinaw today as he has a club tourney there Saturday, we caught one lousy 2 lb bass for our efforts and left early as the wind was howling.
  20. I have my lineup set, but this will give me a chance to second guess myself as the week goes on.
  21. People fishing tourneys don't like them, not the size you want to win. I'm not knocking tourneys by the way with that statement, it's just the way it is. Personally I think they are a great light tackle fish, don't mind catching them at all on my spinning gear.
  22. Way to go, raining here right now, cold weather coming in behind the rain.
  23. That's what I am running and bought them at Battery Outfitters. No complaints. I took my boat to the Golden location and they switched them out for me which is a good deal when you have a balky back.
  24. That's pretty neat, always like to hear these fishing stories from exotic destinations. 🙂
  25. They are catching them! Haven't watched any of it, been busy catching up on MLB season opening and the NCAA's. Too many sports going on this weekend.
