    Bummer

Campbell point, which is not to far from you, is decent water color and no floaters, at lest last week there were not any. No courtesy dock, so you have to launch off the parking lot.
  2. 19" smallie, that is sweet!
  3. I thought about picking Davis also, but didn't so it.
  4. The Cousin is a diver on the retrieve.
  5. The bios claim that big female bass don't lay all their eggs at one time, they can spawn several times.
  6. I've seen jigs fished a couple of ways, one way is to fish it without a float, usually 1/8th or 1/16 oz marabou jigs (no trailer). Toss it out, let it sink to the bottom, then rip it off the bottom a foot or two, let it sink again, repeat until you work it back. Zig jigs (zigjig.com) are great for this technique. I've seen very light jigs (1/32 and smaller) fished under a float. Do some searching in the Taneycomo forum and I believe you will find some posts by Phil Lilley talking about fishing them that way. White river forum has posts on fishing Zig jigs.
  7. Dug out some of my old lures. Top left is a Bomber Long-A (I think), top right is a Heddon Cousin II. The Cousin II was supposedly made snagless by the wire loop at the nose. Got both of these lures when I was in high school in the early 70's. Middle row - A Heddon Lucky 13 and a frog popper type bait I can't identify. Both were owned by my grandpa. He probably bought them sometime in the 60's. Bottom is a plastic mouse, similar to todays frogs. It's another high school lure, so it's at least 40 years old.
  8. Looks like it might work, waiting for the on the water test results.
  9. Best wishes to your wife Bo, for a successful procedure and a speedy recovery.
  10. I left the Ned stuff at home, probably could've caught a few on them, but wanted to do fish some other stuff. Didn't want to slow Champ down either, he doesn't let any moss grow on the bottom of his boat.
  11. Hey Bo, caught several fish on one of your Nutech jigs.
  12. I don't know where Champ is coming up with this "relaxing" stuff, we fished hard dadgummit! Joking aside, it's always a pleasure to fish with Champ, I always learn a thing or two out there on the water with him. First time for me in the Campbell Point area, it is really a beautiful section of the lake, not a lot of development that is visible from the lake, and the green hills are pretty this time of year.
  13. Red Eye Shad, I'll be darned. Good to see you back out on the water.
  14. Well only one day down and I am hosed. Brent Ehrler - 103rd. What is up with that? Omori - 95th - I am never picking this guy again. Browning - 85th - He's local. Herren 63rd - Don't know what I was thinking. Shryock 43rd. Did good on MLF, thought it might carry over. Nope. No way I thought KVD would do well in the high, dirty water, but he is #1 on the board.
  15. My stomach hurts. Still laughing.
  16. Female doggy and moan? What???? LOL, I am hoping that is some kind of auto correct weirdness.
  17. Nice to catch fish on gear you've made yourself.
  18. Looks like it was filmed on fantasy lake. Does look like it could catch a bass or two. So many top water baits out there.
  19. Seems like the wallie fishing has been a little tougher this year.
  20. Kayak Demo Day - June 3 Ozark Mountain Trading Company will host Kayak Demo Day on Lake Avalon on Saturday, June 3, 2017. The host will bring an array of kayaks (over 200) for use and display. Over 200 on display. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is open to Non-Members. This is in Bella Vista. Sounds like a good opportunity to check out some yaks. I am not associated with OMTC in any way, just passing this on.

  22. About every other year I will break out the red worms and fish for them. TR certainly has an abundance of gills.
  23. Nice bunch of fish!
  24. Thanks for the info.
  25. Poaching is a bad thing, but you have to laugh: The landowner told responding sheriff’s deputies, that when he confronted the two men, they “mooned” him and tipped over a portable toilet.
