  1. Last rental I used had a Crysler tiller on it. It was the high end model with the wind up starter if I remember right. Choked on the way back to ramp and had to use the backup paddles. Looks like rentals have went up in scale some. Phil does run a classy place.
  2. That's a nice rental. What does that set you back?
  3. Just had to try it.
  4. Better than the ads that pop on here all of the time....
  5. Rats have evolved. Mice are guinea pigs for science. Give them some Just One Bite.
  6. Shoulder working better now?
  7. A teaspoon of honey gets me by most years. I do cook with it sometimes. Being a bug farmer is what it is about. Watching an organized society of bugs and managing them is an interesting hobby that has been around for ages.
  8. I did well with a big crash in the spring, down to just a wad of bees in a queenless hive. Bought a Nuc and a queen =2 hives. Had 2 swarms move into equipment sitting around and captured a swarm. Split when I pulled 5 gallons of honey off the nuc and swarm and tried to make 3 more in July. Two hives made queens. Shook other out and they returned to my other hives. Gave one away to a guy at work that wanted to have bees but was too late this spring. Total hives now, 6. I have decided that the goal of 20 hives was too much work. Keeping this down to a hobby. 6-10 max for me from now on.
  9. Grounds out when water comes up and shocks the little fishies?
  10. If they are heavy with real honey, no need to feed. Young hives that need to draw comb need feed. If they are light, they need feed. I am conservative when I pull honey the first of July, I try to leave plenty for them. I never take any in the fall. You will know when they are on goldenrod, the hives smell like rotten feet. Lots of yellow aster here still and some white clover.
  11. Dry weather dearth right now. They are looking for anything to feed up on. Saw some goldenrods starting to bloom at Powder Mill access yesterday. Fall flow is coming.
  12. Concealed carry on the boat. 40 cal Kel Tec
  13. If marijuana is legal, and you are not addicted to it, then no is an acceptable answer..
  14. Did you know his real name?
  15. Did anyone find Oneshot yet?
  16. This time of year, its normally my .380 S&W Bodyguard. Boats usually have a 9 or 40 nearby also. I have an Airweight I carry on the farm or a 22 for slick critters. City carry is usually a S&W Shield in 9 or 45. Winter carry is normally one of the Shields or the Airweight. They all pack well and shoot good. Practice with all and able to shoot them well. Never hope to use them, but, they are there if I need them.
  17. No misunderstanding. He lost what was on the ball. And what was left has no balls.
  18. But he lost. Nothing but a money shortage soon....
  19. Steel shortage
  20. I was tracking our heritage. I know old plat maps of the farm go back to 1871 in my family line. I was trying to dig deeper. Spent time last night looking at the oldest ones. Back when Wayne County covered the whole southern third of Missouri over to the OK border. It shrank fast in a few years as that territory was divied up. Back in school, I read both volumes of the 1821 Book of Missouri. I don't remember much of it, but it was interesting. Missouri has held a place in our countries historical significance for a long time and still pulls its weight. Our families migrated from East TN shortly after MO became a state. Looking around and trying to find out when.
  21. Pontiacs died. Buick still around I think.
  22. Nope, its Number 3. He found an Amish guy to make Mercury Parts for him......
  23. Happy Birthday Missouri. In celebration of it, I have been browsing map collections of our heritage. Not really, was looking at old maps and realized today was the day. https://mapgeeks.org/missouri/ http://alabamamaps.ua.edu/historicalmaps/us_states/missouri/index2.htm
  24. My Android tablet does it surfing on Firefox with it. Winders here on main pc and Firefox, all ads are gone. But Phil keeps this running by the ads. Keep surfing.
