  1. Covid like the dry air. Humidity seems to keep it at bay. I run a humidifier in the bedroom all winter. Its a warm air one. It stopped the other day. Read the manual, need to soak it in vinegar every week or so. It had built up a pound of limestone from our hard water. Pecked it off, and plugged in. Back to normal.
  2. First thing I have seen make sense from that one.
  3. The first one was a major surprise. My best friend is a Doctor, I did not fit any profile. My Oncologist said, "its just Dumb luck". The second one, I found it and acted on it like this one. And I really got pounded. Surgery and 6 weeks of radiation. During the treatment for the second one, 4 weeks into 6 weeks of radiation, a lymph node flared, and looked like cancer in the side they were not radiating. It was clear. After radiation, several nodes came up in my lungs where we were watching for the next adventure, but my body tore them down and fixed them. Last body scan was Nov 2019, head to belly and nothing. It was supposed to be clear sailing from there. Then this sore. It gets my attention and is still being watched close. Due Diligence.
  4. Big cities suck. Don't live there..... But,,, Don't come here, we don't need your crap.....
  5. And Covid hit about the time season started last year.
  6. Made it to the water, the poor ole Merc 4 Stroker has been sitting since July 4 2019. The last time it saw water was a good run from Whitten to Cane Bluff. It did not start, turned over, but did not start. Back to the drawing board. Been working on all the other things I wanted changed on it, just took it for granted the motor would do it thing. Too dang cold at the ramp to screw around with it there. It needs a good going over, like all of the rest of the setup. Started sleeting and snowing here about dark. Looks like we may get an inch or 2.
  7. Why close on what may be the busy weekend of the year?
  8. All that green energy going to waste. Try carrying a battery around and see if you can charge it.
  9. If the ramps don't ice up.
  10. Gonna run the jet boat somewhere this weekend. No matter what.
  11. Treated lumber leeches poisons out of it as time passes. Pvc is lighter, and more temporary. Since Covid, treated lumber has went sky hi in price
  12. 2 weeks of knotted stomach and sleepless nites. I found another sore on the tongue, coming up on 4 years since last cancer. Gave it a few days then went to dentist when it did not heal. It was actually on the nerve dead part of the tongue with the arm tissue transplant, further back down than initial tumor. Dentist ground on the molar thinking that may be the problem and took good pics for the Oncologist. I emailed those up and he said to wait a week to see if it would heal. Went to Wash U on Wed morning early and met the Oncologist. We did a biopsy and it came back yesterday around 4 as a negative. The elephant was lifted off my shoulders. Where the sore is located, it would probably leave me with no speech and a feeding tube if they went at it like they did the last time. I was scared shtleesss for the last few weeks. So sitting around chilling with Sam Adams, the Blues Brothers on tv, and enjoying life ... Ya never know when it will turn on you.
  13. Stuck cases are a bithc. Sometimes you can knock them out with a cleaning rod. If not, gotta go the hard way like you did.
  14. Have not been to that one. There is a small raptor collection at Reelfoot Lake sponsered by TWRA. Outside pens with Eagles, Hawks, and Owls.
  15. They disappeared around here with the Covid, probably bring a small fortune on Marketplace.
  16. Ivermectin has shown some usefulness. Gets rid of the worms also.
  17. I used to fish the Standing Yabbies from River to Sea all the time on creeks and small rivers. They were killer. But the blue gills would pick their eyes out and then the pinchers. They have a great action, but are formed on a jig head. They would not work for the original poster. https://www.river2seausa.com/product/standn-yabbie/
  18. You would be better off with a Belly Band Holster. You can pack a full size gun and spare mags in an easy to access place. Just have to watch over eating at the buffets, it may get tight and cut off circulation.... https://www.crossbreedholsters.com/blog/belly-band-holsters/
  19. Gonna trip out west and see Bigfoot?
  20. Chainsaws are work, leaf blowers fan the meth fumes away.
  21. I ask Dad for a tool at the farm and he says he has one somewhere. I have restocked the tools.
  22. Better watch out, Bigfoot may get horny when he sees either of you running around in a TuTu. It may be mating season.
  23. It is a strange sight, not too many people read any more.
  24. Nice big bunch of geese.
  25. Minus the shop?? Did the hired help kick you out of it?
