  1. I guess I am Bipartisan. I give them all welfare handouts.
  2. Dad stands at the door and pecks at his window to keep them scared off the feeders. A customer this week was telling about a cage he built around the feeder to keep them away. I have up to 5 or 6 around mine in the winter, beautiful birds. They don't bother the others and don't really seem to eat any more than the others either. Anyone else have any problems with them?
  3. I was dropshotting a Robo worm in a brushpile in TN last week in clear water. This little 10" bass kept hitting the weight on the drop and ignoring the worm. I jigged it in 3 times before he finally picked up the worm. Polarize glasses and clear water.
  4. Somebody needs to kill one and show it off. Last one I saw was at the Call of the Wild stuffed animal museum back in the 70's south of Poplar Bluff. Interesting place with many stuffed animals arranged in scenes. They had a bigfoot. Its a titty bar now.
  5. I think I would just like to skip ahead the next 4 years.
  6. Still have to run a chainsaw to stoke the flames.
  7. There should be injection site soreness, its the body attacking the foreign stuff. Making the antibodies.
  8. Should have rotated them better.
  9. Pescador is the old style Tarpon hull from WS molds. I have never hung up on a scupper hole, but I do keep plugs in them. We have had water snakes pop up thru them.
  10. I just bought a refurb Hook 2 9" splitshot for the jet boat. It will get the job done for me at $300
  11. 20 rounders fit better on a bench rest. 30 rounders just sit loaded for 2 legged bears. I don't use them on anything either.
  12. I used to nail a few and make chili out of them. Better than Shovelers. Don't even think about a Merganser.
  13. I went with a cheaper unit and smaller transducer to cut down on losses. Mounted a thick piece of white cutting board to the hull to attach the mount to. May tear screws out before it gets into the transducer. I might want to look at the magnet option. I don't really need to see the sonar while running at plane, so I can mount high. But I need something to protect it while drifting. The get knocked around on stuff like that. Need to make a little roll cage around it.
  14. The only ones I have caught were in TN at Pickwick in a creek arm.
  15. That one was fiberglassed or bondo. Don't remember, but I am the owner of that boat now. Took it over in Dec. Been doing a few things too it this winter. Will probably replace the hull part this summer. Stick Steer Panfish 16 from 1988 with a 25 Merc 4 stroker.
  16. That is why then. The good water to the jet foot means alot. The vortex in the impeller is pretty sketchy, any bubbles off a dent in the bottom of a flat boat, leaf, rock, stick, can mess up the vortex and lose power. We went over a log on the 11 Pt one time and put a small dent under the boat in front of the motor. That messed up the flow of water back to the impeller and we had to limp back home. Barely.
  17. I saw a fish truck break down from a private hatchery one time. He dumped his load in private ponds before his areators ran out of oxygen. I think the real story was that the first stockings of trout were done by railcars in many southern streams. I remember old footage showing aerial stockings of remote lakes by plane dumps out west when I was a kid. Trout has always been wanted everywhere for some reason.
  18. Was wondering about the tunnel hulls. Do they really run that shallow or just jack the motor up higher in the water column? How do they handle?
  19. I thought we traded turkeys for them. Look for rattlesnakes nearby, probably fell out of the same helicopter.
  20. When you start sucking gravel, shut down. No need to do any more damage and drive yourself further. Its never fun, but I have never had to wait on another boat to get us out. Most days, they don't come along where we go.
  21. Crap or Carp???
  22. That is a Federal problem that came from out of state.
  23. Eleven Point was trashed by 2017 and trout fishing there has suffered. A few floods away, there will be massive log jambs and brush piles in the river. Trout fishing has to be supplemented to support the harvest unless you make it "No Kill". Too many predators. I don't have a dog in the hunt, North Fork has been elusive to me most of the times I have ventured that way. Personally, I would like to see some of the Kenai Strain Rainbows introduced here. Might have to swim a while to find salt water, but they fight better than any here.
  24. Maritime rules, you don't have to help the dumb ones. Let Murphy have them....
  25. I was there on a day when the jet hit the gravel and a prop boat was sitting off in the middle of the dry looking part fishing. Did not want to disturb him. If we had ruffled him up, and others, may have seen the dam.
