  1. Murphy gets some of them.
  2. In that case, I would have taken the heat crumpling his wife's fender before listening to him if I chipped the glass on his Triton.
  3. They have advanced in 2 parent homes. Daddy and daddy, mommy and mommy, mommy and whatever you are today, etc. That don't seem to help much. This last shooter was struggling to identify.
  4. I would be up for raising voting age to 21 or higher. You need some life experience to determine who is capable of running for office. Keep draft age at 18. Studies show young males are more violent and we need them to defend the country.
  5. My coworker has already went out and bought a suit, gloves, and a smoker. He is ready for the honey that drips out of them, says he buys a quart a month. Daily updates coming from him and calls. I will probably try to teach him something and keep a hive in his yard. Its pretty handy. But his mental capacity to grasp what this hobby involves is not all there. Like many, he has started and stopped many things, quickly loosing interest. The other may make a bee keeper. He is trying to learn the old ways and live off the land.
  6. I jumped into my buddies rig after dark last fall at one of the goofy divided Masters ramps. He had dash lights turned up all the way, big screen tv lit up in middle, the backup camera. Bright pole light up the hill. And, tiny little mirrors and back heavy tinted windows on a smaller SUV with no moon out behind me on the lake. I could not see a thing back there. Night vision was totally wiped out. It was the worse backing job I have ever done. But, someone has to teach the guys on the ramp some ethics on how to make things flow smoothly. If we don't, we will still have to keep dealing with the stupidity. Until the banks take them back in a year.....
  7. The mental health issue has always been a slippery slope. HIPA made it even harder when it locked down alot of Medical Records. But the fact is, most of the shooters have a mental issue they are facing and can lie about it on the forms. Unless there is a legal record of it in the NCIC database, the background check will go thru. Several prominent gun writers have agreed on the fact that Males under 21 have been the majority of the problem in some articles I have read. Most states, they can't buy alcohol or cigarettes. Studies have shown that 21 seems to be a maturing age. I don't have any issues with the 21 limit. Roy Blunt is making a show of good faith, but in reality, we all knew something was going to come down the pipes. The Senate version is less than the restrictions set forth by the House version. The red flag thing is BS. A medical doctor should determine the mental stability of a person, not a court. I question the court's mental capacity all of the time. Spending more money on mental health and developing some kind of reporting that would tie into the background check process would be a start. The Senate version aims for that somewhat. But sharing of mental issues is a medical thing that really can't be shared as of now. Many of the last shooters posted online their intentions and were having mental issues in plain sight. They should have been stopped before the shooting ever happened. Background Checks were the best thing to happen, they catch alot of things before it goes wrong. I will be the first to say, there are alot of people that don't need to own guns. That is why I keep mine close.
  8. Red wasp popped me center of chest while I was changing filter at farm, never saw it, hurt like hell. Actually felt like chest pains later on while I was bushogging, painful sting. Went back down when I put tractor back up and nest in wall, gave a good spray to them. BTW, Rural King has the good long distance stuff for $1.79 a can this year.
  9. The fish hive is getting pretty big and looks like they may be out of room. Any way to add a box to that contraption? Lots of bees sitting out milling around. More room inside and they would be building something. My hives are up to 3 deeps and supers this year and I have pulled frames out of some to beef up starters.
  10. I use clippers and weedkiller. I tried the weed eater one time. Something about the high pitch sound and CO2 exhaust ticks them off.
  11. Sunday was delivery day of one of the swarms I caught back in May. A friends son wanted to keep bees for a few years, bought the equipment and tried to catch swarms. I took him a hive and we installed it in his equipment. They should do well. 10 years of bee keeping this year and I have made several new bee keepers thru mentorship. Keeping the tradition going . Meanwhile, home at the yard. The high temps have them outside bearding and creating an airflow to dry the moisture out of the honey they have been storing. Honey pull will be on July 4 weekend this year, weather permitting. I have no interest getting out and seeing the crowds in a boat that weekend.
  12. June update. The goofy tree swarm finally moved off to a limb and I dumped it into a box. The bees in the hole in the trees left too. I added a few frames of brood and honey and will let it try to become a new hive. Don't know if there was ever a queen, but they were the strangest bunch of bees I have encountered..
  13. I really feel its our responsibility to correct it. Some way, somehow. Otherwise we will be celebrating BRI Day from now on during that period. They will declare Memorial Day as May Teenth in the future. We will never have a liberation holiday from the madness on Victory Day the second weekend in Sept, if the weather cools. You really need to be a bigger dick than the ones you encounter if you feel your opinion is correct. Take our summers back. Their toys are going to be useless when the banks repossess them soon.
  14. Blood thinners prevent clots. Do not stop taking meds unless a doctor okays. If all else fails, go to Emergency Room. Things step up a pace there. You need to carry a medical history if you go away from your normal hospital.
  15. Take selfies if you swell up like a balloon. We like pics on here.....
  16. There was some pretty high water in the area this spring. I was thinking it may have blown some of that out. I have a buddy at Terre Du Lac, it makes a nice little afternoon float. But that new wrinkle at the upper end jacks things up some.
  17. I have always thought it could do better. Been there one time and liked the area. Will probably return in the future. Only a 4 hour drive for me.
  18. My shots of pics usually involve a buddy scaling them, then me slapping them on the side of the boat against the ruler and pinching the fins, squeezing the mouth shut, gaining ever spec of an inch. Then the hero shot after I load the camera app for him. Sometimes we even shift for better lighting. They are fish. They have lived for Billions of years thru worse things than we have and still grew big enough for us to be proud.
  19. Good looking glass for an 86. She has been kept up well.
  20. Sounds like you need a whole new medical team. Passing blood out of anything needs to be addressed. Clots mean its pooling somewhere. That device you have may be causing issues.
  21. By 8, I am guessing the low water bridge by the gravel pit operation. Did the channel ever reform and open up after the big flood before the highway bridge? Last time thru, it opened up an old slough to the left and weaved around for about an hour floating thru dead water before we ever made the bridge. The main channel to the right was pretty clogged up and we avoided it. Used to shoot down to the bridge part in a pretty fast pace.
  22. How did that go? Was he planning on leaving it running all day? I would have pulled up to and ask him to shut off his engine so I could talk to him about something. And, motored away.....
  23. Firearms get pretty tempting in situations like that. Takes a lot of restraint. The world is getting dumber.
  24. The Rivertown Shuffle.
  25. That is his rub with Merc's. Spends too much personal time on them.
