Maybe it is because parents cannot give a kid a belt across the rear? I remember getting one and just thinking of getting it was worse then the punishment. It did not even have to be a hard spanking. Spare the rod spoil the child. I turned out Ok and BilletHead Jr. did too and he got spanked a few times . Neither one of us were abused. Did any of you cut your own switch? I am not talking a beating either or condoning it for anyone, BilletHead

Trout are not invasive in Missouri . Most places if you quit stocking them they will die out but you will find carp everywhere and the cat is out of the bag and there will be no stopping them . Here again you are defending your "naturalized" common carp and they don't seem to hurt anything? What do you think we would have if some bucket biologist would of not brought them here to destroy the native habitat? Carp are carp and they do not belong here period. Man messes with things he shouldn't. Flora and fauna. Even our own conservation department does it. Multiflora rose they used to push to plant and not too long ago autumn olive. Now they are invasive , BilletHead

Just another example of another invasive species we don't need here. Like other carp species "naturalized " or not. https://mdc.mo.gov/newsroom/mdc-invasive-black-carp-weren-t-supposed-be-capable-reproducing-they-are https://nature.mdc.mo.gov/discover-nature/field-guide/black-carp http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/illinois/scientists-discovery-of-young-wild-black-carp-troubling/article_624df08d-ad26-52b8-8acc-eb95e12965fd.html I don't care if they fight well or not they do not belong here. BilletHead may begin to go postal on every carp he catches targeted or not. BilletHead

Man I even do dishes once and awhile. I guess I feel guilty. If the sink is clean when the Mrs. goes to work in the AM and I cook something and dirty up a few I clean them up. Need to get me some paper plates now . BilletHead

That is cool but that plate would even look good on the Ness deck, peas included BilletHead

Kefta Kebabs with Tzatziki Sauce, We were supposed to put the seasoned and herbed ground meat on skewers but that proved to be pretty tough. Ended up rolling the mixture in the shape they were supposed to be and put in grill basket and I was able to work them around to be charred all the way around. Skewer less kebabs. Worked fine, Meat mixture full of good things such as onion, parsley, oil packed sun dried tomatoes, mint, cayenne, cumin, S&P and coriander. The Tzatziki sauce contents, olive oil, lemon juice, greek yogurt, cucumber, dill, garlic and S&P. Sautéed up some frozen veggies and added some leftover lime cilantro rice to them. Crusty bread. Fine eats here friends, BilletHead

The Ozark witch hazel is blooming! Come on Spring! Bees were out messing around. Mostly pulling out winterkill bees and dropping them out in front of the hive, BilletHead

Tidying up, Boy I hated to do this. There were five trees left in the original planting. The others had been transplanted in other places in the yard. Two of these five were smaller and really close together. They have never produced nuts yet. They needed to go and it broke my heart, Removed them both, trimmed lower branches on the remaining three, Spread some fertilizer around the drip line. BilletHead

I did that too when you suggested that to me before. I trust you better after that , BilletHead

Just like others We are truly sorry Ronnie. How old was she? Sadie is 13 and I see changes daily now. Now and again I think what am I going to do without her. My daily friend. Today the Mrs. and I did a little over two miles on a walking trail around a county lake. Sadie off leash just poking around as we walked. I told Pat she still does pretty good but could go by heart failure just walking with us. Man she got mad and said don't talk like that. I just said it will happen . Don't like it, BilletHead
