I have a Cornfield Crappie mount on my Ulterra that holds my 360. I am hoping that I can mount a transducer on it. It stays stationary as my trolling motor head moves. It probably will depend on how much it weighs.
How does your buddy have his setup. So Ryan if you were spinnerbating, would you be able to see a bass and make an accurate cast to get its attention or is that asking too much.
Please school me. I have been reading and looking at videos of Garmin and Lowrance live scope. It looks like I’d have to spend two to three grand to get into it.
I have Humminbird units and they are supposed to be coming out with their version this spring so I can get setup with the cost of the transducer only. All I have seen is crappie fishing. I don’t fish for them very often. Do any of you who have it use it for species other than crappie? If so how do you use it and what are you targeting?
Cape Fair is so foggy that you can not go early. Yesterday was the worst I have ever seen it. I may start going back to Stockton, at least there is no fog down there.
You had it better than I found it. I went to Cape Fair. It was 10 when I got there. It was more foggy than I could have imagined. So I drove down to Aunt’s Creek. The fog had lifted. I found fish from 30’ to 80’ but had no luck. I worked my way to Piney. There was a lot of floating debris which lessened toward the back. I only had three bites and managed to boat two of them. The good thing is I came away without the stink for 2021 so far.
I called the Powersite guys and asked that question a few years ago when we were doing a lot of white bass fishing down there. I was told that they don’t have a schedule. They get a call and are told when and how much to generate. He said that in general it comes two to three hours after they begin generation at Table Rock.
