We hit a lot of stuff with swimbaits, jigs, Ned, and shaky. We fished from Cape Fair to Carrs. We only caught 6 in bluff cuts. All of them were on shaky. Nice day terrible fishing.
That’s it for me for a while. I’m going south to some warmer weather.
Bobby when I decided to get ML I made the call and put in the order. I was expecting a February delivery but I got a call the next day saying mine had arrived. Maybe tipping for services rendered does pay off.
I used to crappie fish there with a friend. We fished bluff lay downs. We caught a lot of good ones around Nemo and Decker. Once in a while we fished in the area of the docks above P12. MOPanfisher might have better info that’s hid job site.
Thanks for the tips. I decided to go big or go home so I used an Arig. I learned a lot today. Before I was trying to see a 1/16 oz crappie jig. It caused me to have a come apart a couple of times. After an hour or so the Arig was getting monotonous so I just went fishing for a while. Next time I’ll use jigs and chatters for a more precise zone.
Started late finished early. Messing with Mega Live but still don’t understand it. Tossed a shaky. Caught 6 from 9:30-11:30. No bites after that. GP Zero.
Al, depending on how much you want to spend you can buy a blank mold and have have it milled to what ever design you have for your jig. With the mold in hand a guy to pour shouldn’t be hard to find.
That’s why I don’t go down there anymore. I used to do a lot of night fishing out of Tucker Hollow. We’d see one or two boats on our way to Horseshoe Bend, maybe hear one leaving about dark then have the lake to ourselves the rest of the night, but not with it being 30’ high.
Those naps were when I was running a bread truck down there. I sorted my stale bread at that spot before heading back to Springfield. We had company max early arrival time. If I would be early I would just take a nap to kill some time before heading back. I was down there 6 days a week.
