Members Tim McDougald Posted May 13, 2014 Members Posted May 13, 2014 Saw this http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/crime-and-courts/jury-selection-begins-in-meramec-float-trip-killing/article_e400b956-45fe-522b-828d-02457b22f49b.html and thought I would bring it up here...
ColdWaterFshr Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Will be interesting to see how sympathetic this Steelville jury will be. Personally, I think the guy should get first degree murder charge. Sitting there waiting with a loaded gun for the next floater to come urinate on "his" gravel bar.

Smalliebigs Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 I don't comment on what allegedly happened on that Sand bar that day as I wasn't there and don't know shiot about what actually happened. I will say if allegedly someone tells you to leave their alleged property when they have a gun and you don't.....well you are as stupid as they come and it is a good thing your genes are not watering down the pool anymore than it already has been. I also think you are a fing clown who should be locked up or put down if you allegedly just go around shooting people who venture on to your assumed property. This may go down as the most stupid people in one event ever on the river ever. He won't get anything more than manslaughter IMO.

And do you think this debacle will assist in ungraying the gray? Cuz I have my doubts.
Gavin Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 One dimwit dead, and another going to jail. Not much else to the story.
Mitch f Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Yea, alcohol makes you do dumb things, like throwing rocks at a pissed off guy with a gun. I don't see how he could get murder in the first, but manslaughter yes. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
LarrySTL Posted May 14, 2014 Posted May 14, 2014 Ditto, plenty of stupid to go around on this one, or plenty of drunk, or both. http://intervenehere.com
