fishinwrench Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 Hey, we live in a world full of buzzwords. If it says "Shakey head" on the package then ya gotta SHAKE IT! Otherwise you aren't doing it right. Nevermind that you just caught your 8th keeper dragging it slowly around a brushpile.
Ham Posted June 18, 2014 Posted June 18, 2014 The guys in Kansas spent a whole lot of time sweating the details and were nice enough to share. If they made some money off of it, more power to them. Making a little money off something DOES NOT make you a bad person or make your actions less valuable. I'm amused by all the folks that get center hung on the idea that "they didn't invent it". Cool. Hang your hat on that idea. Meanwhile, I'll go catch 100's of fish with it and wish those guys all the success in the world. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. moguy1973 Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Well I'll be darn. I'm buying the Strike King Zero's next time...they are about a buck cheaper a pack than the Zinkerz -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Old plug Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 sweating the details of what?????? How to market it ??????
Mitch f Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 I never begrudged a guy for taking an idea and running with it. As long as no patents are being infringed upon. "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
Old plug Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Mitch my thing with this whole deal is putting his name on it like he invented it. That would embarrass me to do something like that.
fishinwrench Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Did he actually claim to have developed it himself ? I thought he was being credited simply for adopting it and writing an article about it.
Quillback Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Yeah as far as I can tell, he didn't name it after himself. Others have done that for him. I doubt that he gets a buck every time someone says "Ned Rig", well at least not from me - maybe some of you guys are sending him money.
Old plug Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Quill ack and Wrench------I posted this once before lets see if it disappears again. What I seen was there was a post about this Ned refining it and developing it into what it was. B S. people have been messing with doing that sort of thing before I was born every fisherman of any experience has probably messed with the kind of thing they were claiming was some new wonder. Look I lived through the frenetical/fantasy period of the Big O. Myself. I have never owned one much less rented one like some guys were doing. But I imagine it does catch fish, but not as well as was claimed. All fishermen tend to be gullible and can be sold a bill of goods pretty easy at times. It is natural I believe because were always on a quest.
ness Posted June 19, 2014 Posted June 19, 2014 Good grief it was lame, that's why I stopped buying magazines and listening to the self appointed angling experts and started spending time on the water. ^That. John
