That looks really good. I don’t know much about making real Asian food-the stuff I’ve made is pretty basic Americanized stuff. But, some of the real broths, ramen, soups etc. I’ve had out are just delicious!!

We have several great Asian markets around our house. It’s a weekly trip for us. Sometimes the fish smell gets a little overwhelming. But the authentic sauces are worth it. Half the fun for me is reading the labels that are translated to English...”Grass Jelly Drink”, or “ Joy Luck pig nose”.

Step son is dating a really sweet girl that’s got an Asian-ish background. She brought us a bunch of really different (to us) snack and ramen stuff we’re working our way through. Some of it has been good, some has been spit-it-out, gargle afterward bad. Steak flavored potato chips were the best 😄

I miss having a good Asian market nearby. The poor one in town is now a Mexican market 😒

The labels can be a hoot! Remember one from Thailand 30 years ago. “Finest Japanese Scotch, made with real grapes”.
