So many funny things today... We went to a Chinese restaurant in St. Louis’s version of Chinatown, in Olivette. The restaurant is called “Private Kitchen” they only have 2 tables inside and the food is ordered ahead and served when you get there. I thought it was funny that they messed up their name on the Chop stick holders.😂 The other funny thing was their desserts. Looks like a plant, but the dirt is made of crumbled up Oreo cookies! 😂

Made chili

Half a large onion chopped then browned in the pot with no oil added. Add 1/3 c worchestershire sauce to deglaze. Then added 1c frozen diced green and red peppers.

In a separate pan I browned some burger earlier , just plain no spices. Add that to the onions and peppers now. Next pour in one can of tomato sauce, one can of  diced tomatoes and green chilies, one can of Bush chili beans, one can of water, and I used a chili spice packet,1tsp sugar, and 1tbsp black pepper. Stir together and simmer low for 30 min

Boudin is on the egg right now.  Beans and rice will accompany. I do not care for kidney beans so these will be pintos.  I'm a bit of a heathen and like canned diced tomatoes with roasted garlic and onions.  So a can of them will be in with the rice and beans.

Day before yesterday soup brightened with spinach and peas, served with stale homemade bread.
