Clarified butter should be in your fridge if you are somewhat "serious" about your cooking. However, we can skip the process of skimming and defatting regular butter by visiting our local international food store and buying "ghee." Usually found in the India aisle. "Ghee" comes in a jar, keeps well in the fridge, and, is, actually, clarified butter. Melt it and you'll see. Clear as a bell with good color and flavor. Just outstanding for cooking dishes where a little less butter fat makes a huge difference. Just spoon it out from your jar in the fridge. No muss, no fuss. OK> Carry on with regular programming. MOPanfisher Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I think there may be a law on the books about keeping bacon grease around. If not there should, ponder if you will how many pounds or gallons of perfectly good bacon grease are thrown out every single day, things like that make you worry about the future of America. Right now I am daydreaming about things like fresh greens wilted with green onions, radishes, and bits of bacon, served next to some fresh (never frozen) crappie or walleye fillets and a pan of Mexican cornbread. Might be that it's leftover night causing it though. tho1mas, Deadstream and Riverwhy 3
joeD Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Graham Kerr also was gay as a pink treehouse. Had a nice stable of young "bachelors." That's why he was "galloping." Trying to avoid prosecution for his predilections. And I do mean lickshuns.
