Chief Grey Bear Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 Scotch is most definitely an acquired taste. I never acquired it. But I do raise a toast to those that have. MOPanfisher Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 I always enjoyed wathing them make tamales but always thought the same thing, looks like a tedious task, same with potstickers and I love them. Scotch I'm in Chiefs camp, never could acquire a taste for it, or really any whiskey, do like a few blended ones or mixed with soda but thats about it. Chief Grey Bear 1

I had some leftover pork from some pork tacos and and always wanted to try this, so I did. Reviews are mixed. I liked them. But it's a lot of work. But all good things take a lot of work. I used to buy them by the dozen from a little Mexican lady in station wagon outside of my friends body shop. Those were the best I have ever eaten. Gavin and jpb2187 2

They had this little cart stand in town that sold these bean and cheese quesadillas for like a nickel in their currency. When converting to US currency it was like 1/2 a penny to get two of them. I ending up buying some every time i walked past from there on out. Chief Grey Bear 1

Glad this came up -- I haven't thought about them in a long time. Chief Grey Bear 1 John
rps Posted January 21, 2016 Posted January 21, 2016 One of the perks of small town Arkansas school teaching is access to Latino families. Nancy and I simply make it known we are willing to buy tamales and several different families stop by after they hold a tamale making party. jpb2187 and Chief Grey Bear 2

Those were the best I have ever eaten. I spent 30 days in Idaho one winter. At one of the watering holes that I frequented, there was a young lady of Mexican descent that went around peddling tamales. When I inquired of the local patrons about them they told me how delicious they were. So the next time she came in I bought a couple. They were $1 a piece. These things are about six or 8 inches long and an inch or so in diameter. Not skimpy by any means. They were each individually wrapped in for foil. These are absolutely the best freaking tamales I've ever eaten in my life! Not too moist and not too dry. They were shredded pork and spiced perfectly. I made sure that I was there every time she made her rounds! And when it was time for me to come home I bought $30 worth and packed a cooler! ness 1 Chief Grey Bear Living is dangerous to your health Owner Ozark Fishing Expeditions Co-Owner, Chief Executive Product Development Team Jerm Werm Executive Pro Staff Team Agnew Executive Pro Staff Paul Dallas Productions Executive Pro Staff Team Heddon, River Division Chief Primary Consultant Missouri Smallmouth Alliance Executive Vice President Ronnie Moore Outdoors
