Fried chicken and gravy - My mom used to fry chicken, make gravy and then put the chicken in the gravy in a big casserole dish type cooker and let it simmer for a while.  A bit messy, but man was it good.

Heck yes! Almost like a stew. I'd eat that!! I've done something like that with leftovers.

Alright, here goes! My first attempt at Dry aging a whole rib eye roast. 28 days later, April 9th, I'll cut the Umai-Dry bag open and remove the bark. Then I'll report back!

I hope Ronnie, I'm feeling a little insecure about the sealing of the bag,  so I triple sealed it. We'll see how it works out. After eating a dry aged Ribeye from Flemings in STL, I knew I had found steak nirvana. We have my company's Christmas party at Flemings every year. As soon as my wife tried my Dry aged steak, she took my plate and I had to eat her prime Ribeye. Now all others seem pretty common.  I guess I'm becoming jaded now and am a snob. Oh well.

Being a steak snob isn't a bad thing.

I want the opposite of snob tonight, almost pure old school. Plugged in the electric fry daddy and fried up a pan full of fresh walleye.  While I was doing that my wife made a big cast iron skillet of fried taters and onions (the taters and gravy are actually why I married her), and a small cast iron skillet of corn bread, skillet greased with butter so it had that edge that is better than the middle.

Sounds wonderful!
