That's how I got them! Probably just grill them as usual. At least I know everybody will eat that.

The other way I do them is saute them in some oil with a lot of yellow onion with salt and pepper. Do the onion first, toss in the squash for a few more minutes.

Tonight Nancy and I will enjoy what we call kitchen sink tacos - so juicy you need to eat them over the sink.

Ground chuck cooked with onions, salt, chili powder, and cumin stuffed in a yellow corn shell and topped with shredded lettuce, Rick Bayless style fresh salsa (pico de gallo) , and cheese. Yeah baby.

I could eat mexican til the day I die.

As for Rick Bayless, I'd highly recommend this recipe.

My wife and oldest daughter default to Mexican food. Whereas my youngest, my son, and I prefer Asian food. I could eat Thai or Chinese food everyday. I just love the flavor combinations.

Here's what we had the last few of days:

Corned beef with cabbage using red and green cabbage and fingerling potatoes. It's not just for St. Patrick's day.

Grilled chicken that was marinated in a mixture of soy sauce, lemon juice, with chopped ginger and garlic. Served with sauted green and yellow petit squash with garlic and dill.

Chicken stir fry with leftover grilled chicken, cabbage, carrot, farmers market oyster mushrooms (sorry BH haven't found any wild ones), and onion cooked with ponzu and served with white rice.

All followed by the ripe peaches and nectarines.

I think that sounds outstanding. I love the flavor of poblanos.

Sounds great, all of them.

Tonight I did a Swai filet in an almost-dry skillet, lightly dusted with bread crumbs and a little lemon pepper. Splashed in some white wine, a few capers and a little juice. Reduced that down and then swirled in a tiny slice of butter. A few frozen Brussels sprouts on the side. Plate-lickin' good. Literally. ?image.jpeg

No new shows -- just reruns. I still watch -- it's Good Stuff :D

I dig that show too!

He had another short lived show where he was traveling by motorcycle. He hit some joint and spied a Cherry Mash. After sharing his displeasure for most cherry candies, he opened it, ate it, and commenced to bragging on how good it was. He also mentioned they were made in St. Joe Mo!

I too have a pork taco recipe that I make in the crockpot that I'll share. Which I may have already but I ain't going back through all these pages looking for it.

Feasting on Asphalt. Good show.

I do like all of AB's shows. I have seen both versions of Feasting on Asphalt and most if not all episodes of Good Eats. Now I am addicted to Cutthroat Kitchen. They should do a home cooks episode or four.

Sounds like my 17 year old daughter. She could eat it every meal. She loves it so much that she works at her favorite Chinese restaurant. Basically begged those poor people to give her a job.
