MOPanfisher Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 Smoked peas? I have this mental image of Chief loading his smoker with pork, and then running around grabbing anything he can find to put in it around the edge as well, tomatoes, peppers, apples, grapes who knows.

Hmm not sure about the night crawlers or vicrims, but I would at least try the rest. Put some big ole carp fillets in the smoker, ain't too bad.
MOPanfisher Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 OK here is my last update on my colonoscopy today. For anyone who is going to have one in the near future, no worries, it was a lot of hype over very little. The prep is definitely the worst part, lemon & or lime juice in each glass with ice definitely helps, drink it down in tall glasses and simply work your way through the results. The next morning power drink the stuff so you are finished with the results when you have to get in the car to drive to clinic. The rest is nothing, wear the manly man gown and about 30 seconds of banterior with the Dr. and crew you realize they gave you the "happy shot" without telling you. No idea what happened next, except they rolled me back to recovery and said get dressed when you can. Honestly wasn't even very hungry so wandered around town doing little errands until I sobered up. Then to the Chinese buffet. I didn't even hit it very hard, was kind of a let down. Although right now my insides are having some sort of war deciding what to do with the sudden influx of food. Should have just gone to Popeyes for chicken and red beans and rice. See I tied it back to food.
Jerry Rapp Posted September 30, 2016 Posted September 30, 2016 best nap I have ever had. The prep was not to bad, slept in the spare bedroom with a bathroom 10 feet away with the light on. Foghorn 1
BilletHead Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Well early goose season starter wasn't stellar but one down and the makings of today's meal plus leftovers. Chicken fried goose with mashed taters, goose gravy and sweet corn. Nothing fancy just good down to earth eats. The goose pieces were sliced across the grain on each breast side. Then pounded between a couple sheets of plastic until tenderized and flat. Then a three step process. First a dredge in seasoned flour (Cayenne, S&P, Garlic powder). Then a wet dip (egg, heavy cream,S&P and Tabasco) . Finally a dredge of bread crumbs. Into a hot skillet for a quick fry. Set finished meat aside and worked up the gravy. After the flour some more heavy cream, beef broth, S&P and another shot of tabasco. Plate it all up. Tender and tasty and stick to your ribs good, Lots of leftovers and there will be some killer sandwiches in our future, BilletHead Johnsfolly, Chief Grey Bear, tho1mas and 2 others 5 "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" MOPanfisher Posted October 1, 2016 Posted October 1, 2016 Ahh the age old goose recipe, (which in fairness is used on many things), beat it into submission, season it enough to kill the normal flavor and fry it, make gravy. and for all the making fun of it, it looks good, I mean it has mashed taters and gravy. What doI know I have made gravy after frying liver and onions.
