Johnsfolly Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Marty that looks really good! That looks like a keeper recipe. Get back out and shoot some more fatties.
Terrierman Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 We also had a Honey Baked Ham on Saturday. Ham and bean soup tonight. That big hambone, a generous handful of scraps, about a cup of the gelled liquid that was in the roaster after warming and a pound of great northerns are decorating the smell of the house right now. About 90 minutes before dinner will add coarse chopped onion, carrot chips, celery and a can of diced tomatoes. The corn bread will be done the right way, in preheated cast iron frying pan. rps, grizwilson, Johnsfolly and 4 others 7
Terrierman Posted December 19, 2016 Posted December 19, 2016 Marty, I've had duck ham before and it was incredible. Yours looks to be at least the equal, if not the master. Great job sir. BilletHead and Chief Grey Bear 2

Chief Grey Bear Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Mailman visited me today. I was the grand recipient of two packages from the KC area. One was a delicious homemade fruitcake. Oh man if you could just smell it! I am in heaven. Thank you my dear friend Ness!!! The other is a bit of a mystery as to who it's from but I think I have a real good idea. And it is the biggest popcorn tin I have ever seen in my life! So big it has handles on the side! I know it's not much to look at, but a lot of the flavor comes from the old panty hose it's wrapped in. ???Enjoy! Johnsfolly, BilletHead, rps and 1 other 4 John
