Smokin' hearts.

Tried something different in the smoker, hickory smoked reversed seared ribeye sweetheart steak for the Mrs. and I for Valentine's Day.  Smoked to IT of 135 degrees and then pan seared on the stove top for approx a min each side.  Served with mashed taters and cheddar broccoli rice.

I think they are miniature version of Cherokee purple. They are great.

I'm not aware of a cherry version of Cherokee Purple, but there are many dark cherries out there. Did "Black Cherry" variety a couple years back. Didn't do too well and didn't bother with it again. Cherokee Purple is an excellent tomato. I grow a couple every year since I found them.

Going all out tonight.  Grilling hamburger patties, fresh cut French fried potatoes and a small portion of green salad.  Feels a lot like spring and I am finally feeling mostly normal after a good three weeks of the crud that would not leave.  Bourbon neat to help with that mostly normal feeling.
