MOPanfisher Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Pot of sausage, bacon, garlic and onions. On its way to becoming a big pot of Zuppa Toscana. Wish I could attach the smell right now. added the chicken stock, tayers and plenty of heavy whipping cream. Proceed to eat ourselves into a food coma. Lots left over for supper. One of my coworkers had made a couple loaves of beer bread also, I ate way too much of the crusty, chewey buttery flavored edges. Stick a fork in me I am DONE. Johnsfolly, bfishn, ness and 4 others 7
Johnsfolly Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Tonight it is the American-Irish favorite corned beef and cabbage with a cold Guiness. The bottled Guiness is not as good as having a pint in The Anchor, a pub in Portstewart! Of course they don't really eat corned beef and cabbage, but do have a lot of lamb shepard's pie. Sitting now and watching "The Quiet Man". Gavin, rps, MOPanfisher and 4 others 7
MOPanfisher Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes are one of my favorite things ever. I didn't even think about making it for my kids today. Was on Grampa duty so had time, I am ashamed for my oversight. I am not sure how much corned beef I can eat at a sitting but it would probably embarrass me. Gavin Posted March 18, 2017 Posted March 18, 2017 Had a great corned beef dinner on Wednesday. Like it with horse radish on the beast, boiled veg, and taters. Soda bread & guiness bread was a nice side. Didn't cook a lick, just brought a sixer and some black bushmills. ness, Johnsfolly, Smalls21 and 1 other 4

And they are a little close to the plate. I like to have a minimum of 1.25 inches from the edge. I'm more comfortable with a space of 1.5 inches. Looks more proper. But very well done! ness Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 I'll mix up the place setting for this one. A pair of Guinni and some Irish soda bread with dried cranberries. BilletHead, Johnsfolly, Deadstream and 1 other 4 John
