MOPanfisher Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 SomeoNE on this board I believe posted a hummus recipe. I am not a big fan of hummus, ain't bad but not something get excited over. However the recipe was fabulous. It was RPS, and I think I will make it again.

MOPanfisher Posted December 20, 2017 Posted December 20, 2017 I was so proud of my successful search I decided to cut paste RPS recipe. As soon as my taste buds come back from this latest round of bronchitis I am gonna make some more. Maybe in time for our free community dinner at church on Christmas day! Ingredients Two 15.5 ounce cans chickpeas, drained and liquid reserved 6 Cloves peeled garlic (If the cloves are small, use more!) 3 Tbs. Extra Virgin Olive Oil 1 Tbs. Cumin 1 tps. Kosher Salt 2 Tbs. Tahini paste plus 1 Tbs. oil Juice of 1 to 2 lemons Method Put the garlic and olive oil in the food processor and process until the garlic is chopped fine. Add the chickpeas and process until the mixture begins to clog. Add the cumin, salt, juice from one lemon, the tahini and oil, and half of the reserved liquid from the peas. Process until the mixture is smooth (may take several minutes). Taste and decide if it needs the juice from the next lemon.
ness Posted December 20, 2017 Author Posted December 20, 2017 I can do without plain hummus—just never been a fan of chickpeas for starters. But, the Sabra roasted red pepper kind from the store is really good. Johnsfolly and Terrierman 2 John

Daryk Campbell Sr Posted December 22, 2017 Posted December 22, 2017 Aldi stores have a 4 pack tray of hummus that is really good. The pint size tubs are too much of one flavor for me. Money is just ink and paper, worthless until it switches hands, and worthless again until the next transaction.
