Good thing about granola is once you’ve got the idea down it’s easy to swap stuff in and out. I like dried cranberries in mine

That recipe sounds pretty good with the orange juice and zest.

We do have dried cranberries in our mix. I like the orange from the juice and zest and the coconut in the MDC recipe that BH follows.

Pat buys those big bags of dried cranberries (Craisins ) at Sam's Club. Also if you decide to make a bunch get your whole oats there also.  Have any of you put a few dried cranberries in a salad? That is a good use for them too.

  Ronnie,

I know you like to smoke meats etc. We get raw almonds and soak in saltwater. Put in smoker and smoke awhile. Dry in oven or dehydrator. Great snacking.

Pretty risky!   Do you know who is handling these before you get them????  I'm worried about you.

Love dried cranberries as is and in many things including salads. Also a big fan of dried and fresh figs, especially mission figs. Don't have my own tree like some .

No Fig harvest last year. The possums and coons decided they like them too. May have to do some predator control. Sadie just doesn't care about them anymore so it will be my job instead of hers.

Craisins are great in salads; they also make a fantastic add to a yellow curry or to a chicken salad. BTW, have any of you made a Coronation Chicken salad (a curried chicken salad created when the present Elizabeth got her crown)? Nancy and I recommend it and do add craisins.
