I post this with some trepidation. But I feel some sense of duty to defend this diminutive legume. I mean, what did peas ever do to you?? Split pea with ham soup, with a side of ho’made sourdough bread.

All I am saying is give peas a chance.

You’re sick.  Why do you do this?   There’s a political forum for this😆

Pea soup is the most vile of pea creations IMO. My mom liked to make it often with leftovers of Easter Ham (She is still a] horrible cook at 80). Glad you like yours, but the horrors of the  peas in the past!  One of the few frozen veg left...other than the Lima beans last trip though the Mega Mart...10 days ago.

Tonight was about corn meal. Honey skillet cornbread made in a vintage Erie skillet.

Po boy sandwiches. Corn meal coated crappie and shrimp. Also shrimp, yellow bell pepper, and capers in a cajun aioli.

Without getting too personal I wanna see the bottom of that skillet ? Pretty please :)

didn't want to show my bottom on-line. Sent you a text. It's a small block Griswold No. 8, no heat ring. Probably mid 50's. I have had it well over 35 years.
