I believe it was President Isenhower that said the next world war would not be a military conflict. That it would be a economic battle. That is what is going on I believe and most of your big corporations are contributing to it. Their greed and love for money is far greater than their love for there country and do bot really give a darn about their customers. Most Americans got there head stuck in the sand and are about as helpful as the corporations. I hate to have to buy China stuff but in many cases that is becoming the only choice you have.

i was always taught that charity starts at home. if we are not producing and people here working, how is it that we can continue to have the ability to help those outside this country, let alone those that live here and need help?

If you wanna live in a country where most everything purchased is made there..... then you might as well move, cuz it'll never happen here.

Yep, for a variety of reasons. Really kind of shocked anyone is surprised by it these days.

Buying American is a great concept, but most of us would never be able to afford it.

With jimalert3 being 90 years old, he was indeed around in the days that Walmart sold only U.S.-made products.

I've seen some pretty discouraging things in my 54 years. Can't imagine what it's like to be 86 like my dad or 90 like jimalert3 and have to ponder the degradation they've seen in their lifetimes.

i know exactly where you can buy jigs, spinner baits, and bladed jigs that are made in the USA. just launched a series with a Trokar hook, and that means even the components are 100% USA produced.

you are exactly right. when are manufactures going to figure out, that when there are no jobs here and not anyone working, who is going to have money to buy there cheap products?????

our government is also a problem with manufactures going overseas. my small company got audited by the irs. the new federal excise tax laws passed to fund obamacare say that 10% excise tax is to be paid on what we are selling the product for. that is taxing labor, and when we raise to accomodate the tax, which is passed onto the consumer, they get 10% of what we raised the price. the irs guy admitted that many small companies are shutting their doors, or figure out how to take manufacturing out of the country.

everyone needs to be rgith down our congress reps and senators throats.

The 10% tax on fishing and hunting goods made in this country goes to...

It is bad enpugh at 76 Champ. It is what is behind my attitude. A lot of people below my generation have told me "Well its always been this way'" Like the country is infallable. There seems to be a reluctance to serve in the armed forces as well. That to me is shameful.

What does it say about us when we're determined to buy the cheapest stuff, yet are always surprised when we get it.

I can't dance like I used to.
