Well it refreshing to finally see people who will congratulate this fisherman. I already have on another thread from facebook. Unfortunately several others kicked this poor guy in teeth for not releasing this fish. I really dont think they could care less if he released it, as much as they were not the ones doing the catching. One rather outspoken one was a guide of somesorts so he claims. I dont recall all of his name, but part of it sounded like some pizza co. like dominos or something like that. I do not know this fisherman, just wanted to say thanks for the nice comments.

It was a true giant to be sure. I don't think I would have kept it, but if it acted like it was going to swim off and die, maybe. As long as he caught it legally, it is his fish to do with as he pleases. There are other 30 lb Browns swimming in the White.

What a great looking fish and certainly a lifetime fish. Good for him.

As to people talking trash, Jealousy, Greed etc etc. I have read on other forums people saying they should have let it go so it could be a state record, Hmmm it would be ok to kill it to have it recorded but not ok for this guy to kill it to eat, makes ya wonder.

I heard a song the other day about the devil not being lazy. Jealousy over such things as someone catching a nice fish is so sad and so petty. That song might have something to it.

Really good. Really really good and I am privileged to have been able to see him perform. But I have to say Marty was even better. Heck of a show.
