dtrs5kprs Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 And it's in March instead of February. I think a lot of pros really complained about the horrid weather they had down in South Carolina this year. Might have to make a trip down there just to go to the expo and a weigh in this time. Really good to see it in March. Might save someone's life. Believe I will have to make it down this time. dpenny 1
J-Doc Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 That's very true. It's shoulder to shoulder "mad house" on the weekend. I almost got trampled by Byron Velvik running to his booth. And that was on Friday. On Saturday, he would have needed a horn strobe and siren to attempt a jog much less a sprint like he was attempting the day before. It's the biggest boat and fishing expo I've ever been to. It's like a bass fisherman's Toys R Us. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. J-Doc Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Dave - I was thinking you'd have a booth there. He should. And he better take plenty extra. He should sell out. The Ned has become quite popular all over the nation. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. Lvn2Fish Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I was at grand last week for the BFL it froze in wolf creek every morning, it could be just as bad.
J-Doc Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I was at grand last week for the BFL it froze in wolf creek every morning, it could be just as bad. Very good point. And it was just a few weeks ago that the classic was held. Look how miserable it was in a southern state. And have it in late summer and it's just the opposite. Too hot and fish are not biting well due to local pressure and heat. The point of the classic was to challenge the best of the best. The Top Gun of sorts competition. Challenging conditions shows the true luck and skills of these pros. They can't all fish on Ray Scotts lake or a Bill Dance stock pond. :-) Sac River Jim 1 Need marine repair?
