I remember somebody saying "airbrushes are like rabbits, they mulitply"

Well thats the case for me. Both Iwatas .35mm & .5mm are 4-5 years old & I didnt clean them often enough.

Now that I actually let them soak in airbrush cleaner & run the wire brush thru them, I cant get anything remotely close to "shooting paint"

Soooooooooo, I will be buying another Iwata this week.

Ford vs Chevy, but I pulled my Paasches out and went right to painting. Hadn't painted anything since the wake bait project in 2011. Brushes are 2002-2004 vintage.

Reading this has taught me many things.  #1  Very talented people here.  #2  I don't need this part of the fishing hobby, I am on purge mood.   #3   IF.... I was to start this I would let my auto body friend shoot the clear when he was cleaning up.

I've heard of folks spraying 2K in a tent on the back porch. I don't want to spray it inside the garage. I wear a 3M respirator with charcoal filters & ive got a DIY spray booth with exhaust fan piped out the garage door. (Flex)

I feel like I need a full face mask to protect my eyes from the vapors too.

I for sure wouldn't want to spray it in a closed up tent. Trophy I remember your little booth. That is perfect. As long as you have good air flow then the fumes should not be a problem. You don't need a full face mask. Maybe some safety glasses so you don't shoot it in your eye. If you are creating a huge fog when shooting clear or anything else then you are doing it wrong. That's just wasted material.

I spray in my garage with a fan pushing the fumes outside. It's never been an issue. Simplest thing in the world.

I've gotta bunch of those hell benders & never fished them. Maybe they need some fresh paint & new hooks.

Knock yourself out. I think part of the reason that HellBenders and Mudd Bugs got so popular is that there weren't a lot of other deep diving crankbaits available. Lots of other baits fill that role now. If I threw one now, it would be a nostalgia deal rather than it being the best option available.

A mud bug will laugh at wood most cranks run away from. The old boys down in TX will fight you for one.

This reminds me of the movie snatch, where Mickey tells the guy "I fight ya for it"
